Though PAIL has experienced various shifts in personality and increases in ability since her creation, some of her aspects have remained the same over time.

PAIL has a very world-weary outlook on life. Though not depressed, she tends to be rather pessimistic, and although she would enjoy company, company generally doesn't enjoy her. And she knows it.

PAIL doesn't contribute to Center organization; she has no interest in doing so.
She isn't malicious, but she doesn't really care about other dragons' well-being either, even though she is adept at interpreting emotion. Much of the time PAIL helps out with precision tasks (particularly those in the Health and Tech divisions) or purposefully puts herself in odd situations to hone her skills and test the extent of her abilities.

After several unsuccessful attempts at creating artificially intelligent life-like robots (one of which resulted in LENKA), the CHRC's Bot Division has finally succeeded with PAIL. As a lifebot, PAIL was built using both mechanical and biological components.

Designed and built by BD members Sivir and Wiztix, with the help of Bronwen and Lise for growing and crafting living tissue, PAIL is a work of art. She has undergone a long series of tests and improvements since her creation, which have helped the Center in their endeavors to design other bots.
