Corsarien seurue oli jälleen kerran voitokas ajaessaan raakalaismaiset olennot tiehensä. Saaliinsa nämä jakoivat keskenään lukuun ottamatta yhtä. Corsarie oli iskenyt silmänsä elottomalta vaikuttavaan pikkutyttöön. Muut olisivat jättäneet lapsen niille sijoilleen, jopa osa haudannut ellei Corsarie olisi ollut niin itsepäisen varma siitä että tyttö oli kuin olisikin elossa.

Kauan Corsarie hoiti ja piti huolta nukkuvasta kaunottaresta, kunnes viimein Revêissancen avulla tapasi tytön unimaailmassa. Nuori käärme kertoi olevansa liian arka ja pelokas herätäkseen ja kohdatakseen kovan todellisuuden. Hän oli nukkunut niin kauan kuin muisti, eikä hänellä täten ollut enää muistoja perheestään. Unet olivat saaneet tytön pään pyörälle siitä mikä oli totta ja mikä taas tarua.

Corsarie vakuutti, ettei tytöllä olisi hätää, jos tyttö vain suinkin uskaltaisi herätä, vanhempi lohikäärme lupasi kaikella tahdonvoimallaan löytyä aivan toisen vierestä. Hetken mielijohteesta Corsarie päätti, että tyttö saisi, jos vain halusi, kulkea tämän rinnalla Tähdenlennon saariryhmään ja päättää vasta siellä tahtoiko edelleen seurata tätä vai jäädä kokonaan asumaan Corsarien syntyseuduille.
