"Hello, dear, come and stay a while!"

Sakura is a sweet, loving ~~Tundra~~ Wildclaw (3/14/19) who's the fluffy pink equivalent of the lil old lady down the street who gives you cookies and insists you come inside for a meal and an hour to warm up in the cold seasons. She tries to lead her clan with as much firm peace as she can manage, as while she's a good leader she's physically quite weak.

Born and raised on the Windswept Plateau, Sakura is adventurous and kind at heart. Wanting to meet other dragons and meet new friends, she set out from her home clan to wander Windsinger's vast territory. Border to border, land and sky, Sakura roamed carefree on her own for years, and in that time she met many new dragons and made many new friends (and enemies, somehow!) but before long, she longed to settle down and the cluster of dragons who roamed with her grew weary of constant travel, and so they all found a cozy place within the cliffsides of the Reedcleft ascent, overlooking the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Over time, her cluster of dragons grew--before she knew it, Sakura had a clan to take care of. She dubbed the clan formally Tranquil Crosswinds, where dragons of all walks of life would have a safe place to settle in for as long as they needed.

Though of course it never stops her from trying, a clan leader cant please everyone. No matter what choice she makes, at least one person is going to be getting the short straw. She always tries to make amends to the unhappy dragon, especially when it comes to how she handles relations between dragons and settles disputes. The Sovereign--though heavens, please, don't call her that outside of political meetings between clans--takes an entirely pacifist approach to leadership, always seeing fit to talk a conflict through to prevent fights from breaking out and striving for diplomacy when it comes to scuffles with other clans. This greatly displeases Ryaff in particular; the quick-tempered Wildclaw was quiet when he first joined up with the Crosswinds, but Sakura now finds that he's challenging her frequently in hopes of taking over and changing how conflict is handled. To his endless annoyance, she manages to talk him down from that, too.

Sakura's clan was once a simple cluster of five or six dragons, most of which would come and go as they pleased, but after all these years a few dragons have continued to stay with her. Sastrugi and Vrael have always been by her side, helping her through the hardest of times. She tells stories of the three of them, sweet voice teasing and joyful as she jokes about a bit of a love triangle which never came to much more than a few romance-less nests or how the boys would always help her prepare meals after a big hunt. There are no two dragons Sakura trusts more than Sastrugi and Vrael to see her vulnerable--she knows the two would never take advantage of her weakness to claim the clan for themselves. Often, Sastrugi will set up outside her den as a guard while Vrael makes sure she's safe and comfortable inside as she nests, and at Vrael and his mate's request she returns the favor in the form of surrogacy. Sastrugi insists that her good health is payment enough for his protection.

Outside the clan, Sakura's biggest allies are a clan over in the Starfall Isles, led by a Guardian named Erna, who she's lovingly dubbed Bootsie. The two clans visit each other frequently and can rely upon each other in times of need, be it a shortage of supplies, border protection, or simple companionship.
