The plague homelands leave nothing untouched by their rot, the need to survive pulses through each twisted root, and every toxic mushroom. Those that call the scarred wasteland home are not immune to its corruption, but they adapt to survive regardless. Out of desperation, perhaps just plain madness, one line of guardians has adapted to not only thrive in rot and illness but to aid in spreading it.

These great beasts of dragons have developed glass-coated stomachs that churn with viruses and bacteria causing them to drool incessantly. Whatever they leave their sticky saliva becomes contaminated and plagued like themselves, almost as if they are forcing the world around them to adapt or perish. They themselves do not look sickly for the most part, while their mottled hides would have one think otherwise. Though their saliva is often vibrantly colored and quite noxious looking, hanging in thick strands from their jaws, little droplets occasionally plopping down with a subtle sizzle; in this regard, they do look rather gruesome.

These undead transmitters of pestilence and infection are not actually undead, their minds are often clouded by fever causing them to act rather un-guardian like and somewhat half there. The most notable un-guardian thing they do, is actually what they don’t do. These walking vials of the disease do not take charges. With their bodies constantly fighting the illnesses they spread, they are incapable of feeling the driving need to claim and protect.
