Timeline: Grew up Became a shade hunter Made a friend Supports friend Penpals <3 Nearly killed a child Was put under house arrest because apparently the shade is not real (doubt). Friend was likely eaten by sea monster Cannot search for friend because house arrest :( Child she nearly killed found her Adopt Oh look, child brought new friend Adopt Oh no, house flew away How will house arrest now Technically on the run With her children's "aunt" who's supposed to be making sure she's good But house flew away. Probably should keep an eye out for tribal cult that wants the aunt's sister back. Maybe should stick to theme and adopt Into fantasy and medieval stuff as a kid. Oldest of four? Very protective and wise type of older sister. Caretaker. First really thought of the shade after mindlessly singing a lullaby to her siblings. Looked into it. Didn't sleep that night. Started unconsciously strategizing how someone could defeat shade remnants Took defense classes. Too more fighting-based classes And survival Flipped between physically taxing hobbies and sitting around reading or daydreaming. Always lovely to talk to and caring but didn't often initiate. Participates in smalltalk if already engaged but doesn't otherwise. Busy. Always. Hard to get very close to because she's very private about herself. Left home with no intentions besides making a difference and helping people. Parents weren't happy with her vague goals and seemingly whimsical outlook on life. Ended up wandering around fending off criminals and the shade from innocent dragons through a series of gentle shifts of ideals as she traveled. Met Tsami after one of her failed attempts to save someone. Became penpals and helped guide her away from unintentional self-harm due to Tsami's breed dysmorphia, which was caused by her seer-abilties ofren dipping into a reality where she was another breed. In turn got someone who loved and supported her but also wasn't afraid to speak up when Vivían was blaming herself unfairly or pushing herself too hard. Also expressed some concern about Vivían potentially being shade-touched, which was fair, but Vivían chose not to think about it. Main reason for the small amount of dissent in their friendship. Ended up nearly killing Ahkilum when he jumped her as a prank and she reacted instinctively with a lightning bolt. Restarted his heart and took him to some random nearby clan's healer. They saved the kid and detained her until some exalted could arrive to take her and pass judgement on her actions. She was deemed mentally unwell due to her strong conviction that the shade was active and still present in the land of Sornieth, and was disallowed from continuing as a "shade hunter," as well as being required to be clanbound (under house arrest) until they deemed her stable. She was also to never go within bolt distance of the child again. Fortunately she set up a base of operations at a Arcane clan a while back, and the leader was willing to take on the burden of being her clanbound authority. She could leave the clan's ground for up to fourty-eight hours as long as the leader stayed within one hundred feet, lest the bracelets alarm informed the exalted she'd broken her clanbound contract. Ahkilum, having snuck into her trial and became rather curious about the shade (as he was often called shade touched), followed the strange Skydancer home somehow (for being so concerned for the child's safety—even grinding into Vivían brain during the trail how the healer said the child only had years left before his organs gave out, about how awful she was for doing this to a poor, innocent child (she'd always feel absolutely ashamed for that mistake)—they didn't seem to care much about him). Ahkilum revealed himself and wouldn't leave, no matter how she tried. Learning he had no one and knowing how much trouble she'd be in for having him (even if it would be worth it to get him a good home), she found she couldn't let him go and secretly (and unofficially) adopted him. The dragon who was supposed to be making sure she abided by the clanbound contract never said a word, and a silent understanding was settled between them. Soon after she learned of Tsami's disappearance while guiding others through the Leventhian Trench—when a sea monster rose from the depth and everyone scattered in a confusion of panic and strong tides—another child was acquired. This one so unofficially adopted because, apparently, she was unfit to be a mother. While she was out in the market with Blithe, desperately searching for anyway to help Tsami, to try and find a way to send someone because she couldn't go, Ahkilum found a friend and learned his story. When he came back to her and mentioned the other child had no one and nobody, and could we pleeeeease kep him? She had little choice. It was a good distraction at the time from Tsami, even if it's been so long now that there's only the smallest sliver of hope she's still alive. Later Starbound floated into space and they all had to leave on a hurry. The exalted in charge of her case would understand the situation, but both her and Blithe would be subjected to a truth spell and a conversation confirming no parts of the contract were broke, as a routine thing—and parts were broke, so they don't know what to do. Once the forty-eight hours are up, she either needs to turn herself in and admit, or try to break the bracelet and run. Neither choice will be good for her two kids. Both will get Blithe in big trouble, and even if she runs Blithe won't [maybe]. |
