The fog rolls in, the waves of water lapping
the shores and crushing dragons caught up in the storm
beyond the help of normal seafarers. Many dragons
travelling this far have succumb to the pull of the waves
and their own weariness. Legends speak of the seas, and
how it is filled with the tears of any who try to cross it,
and fail. Even from the lands beyond, they only say
farewell to those whom attempt to cross it, knowing well
that may never return.

Yet of those legends, another telling goes in favor
of not the seas, nor the tragedy they behold, but of rare
souls that make it across and back, without ever venturing
out again. And of those rare souls, there is one that shouts
louder than the rest. It has been said that though she was
young she had already made the journey several dozen
times, and returned safely. With the scales of night and
wings glowing green with power, every dragon hatchling is
told the Legend of Tristan.

Her skin and scales as black as night help her to
stay hidden in the storms, which rage on with a sentient
passion. Her wings, though marked like the most fragile of
insects, powerfully keep her afloat and allow her to travel
with such a speed that was unintended for dragon-kind to
master. Their radioactive hue gives way to bright colors of
orchids when agitated. And though she has lived through
the storm whom kills any who venture away from their clans
and nests, her skeleton is visible to those whom she greets
upon arrival. They call her phantom, a ghost even, but she
could not be more alive. The truth can be found in her eyes,
where the storm seems to swirl inside them, vanquished.

Though young, another legend yet circles around
the ears of all that hear them. It speaks that the storms was
so powerful and so overbearing against nature, it created
a child of devastation where it would shake the very lands
where the storm could not reach. No one knows what
disasters or unseen powers Tristan may hold, but it is clear
to all that catch a glimpse of her that there is nothing that
could hope to tear her down. She may dwell in the midst of
the storm, at home in the chaos, but there is nothing actually
known about the young dragoness. Not of the lands from
whence she came, not of the parents of such a victorious
beast, and not of her past, where secrets lie. She speaks
none, and she cares for no other than the blackened feline
companion she keeps safely at her side, or hidden while
she is away.

Seek not her nor the places to which the travels.
Search not for answers that like sunken at the base of the
sea, swallowed where none can tread. And lastly, fly not
into the storm, or you shall suffer the same fate as many
of your brethren before you, and persih underneath the
waves.
