Biography
Maca is a very kind and happy young coatl, who you'll be most likely seeing in the lair's garden. He has great interest in bugs, especially in caterpillars, butterflies and beetles! Maca loves to study and observe all little critters he finds in the garden, and he always tries to ensure that his bug friends are safe from more careless dragons feet. He likes to build these miniature house-like structures out of leaves and flowers for the insects to live in, and to warn other dragons to be more careful where they step near these small bug cities.
Even tho Maca likes to be around other dragons, he feels a bit insecure because of his looks. Unlike most coatls, his whole body isn't covered with soft and vividly colored plumage: Only his wings, chest and crest are, but otherwise his body is covered in insect-like carapace. Maca knows that there are many others in Septarian Shield who have the same gene as he does, but in Maca's eyes they all look like gemstones, but because he is pink, he doesn't see himself the same way, but more like an insect. This is most likely the reason why he finds kinship in bugs and feels more secure with them.
Maca's familiar is a small cherry blossom caterpillar named Pepp. The two of them are inseparable, and Pepp is always with Maca, wherever he goes. Maca likes to educate other dragons about insects, and he usually wants to show Pepp to everybody who happen to visit their lair or the garden. If you ever want to make Maca happy, just ask him to tell you about insects, especially Pepp, that surely makes his day!

Names "Maca" and "Pepp" come from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, from two little Koroks with the same names.
