As the caravan ships of merchants, mercenaries, and more neared the port, Eggnog felt that familiar spark he got when entering new territory. It meant he could spread cheer and share precious gifts from his hoard to others. He was incredibly social, not uncommon for his species, and thrived on the joy of others. Chicha, his mate who he grew up as fledglings with, was still fast asleep. He wouldn't lie that his joy of spreading happiness was just a tad bit more addictive to him than his love who was slower to rise. He didn't mind though. He understood.
The sun was starting to rise which was perfect. He could set up his stand while talking to potential customers and handing them a gift to remember him and the caravan by. He did try and sell his handcrafted products here and there though, lest the caravan got irritated with him not making a profit and help pitch in to help with the caravan's needs.
His mate chirped in her sleep, which snapped Eggnog out of his trance. He rised and walked over to Chicha to lay down with her. It would still be an hour or so before the ships landed at port. Eggnog yawned and laid his head on his mate to rest, energizing himself for a productive and busy day.
