Clan Ambassador
Clan Ambassador
BIOGRAPHY
Marble first came across the lair when he was traveling across the Windswept Plateau to visit some relatives. Clove offered him a place to rest, but Marble declined, as he didn't have far left to go. The lair, although much smaller and less gaudy than his home, was quaint in a way that he had never experienced before. And although he would never admit it, he was curious to see what it would be like living in such a tiny, but close clan. So on his journey back, he stopped by the little lair, and decided to stay for a couple of days. He quickly grew enamoured with the tiny clan and decided he wanted to stay permanently. Marble quickly became the Clan Ambassador, because of his incredible knowledge about clan politics, and how larger clans work, but also because he's an incredible schmoozer. He’s able to diffuse tense situations between angry dragons with only a couple of words, and he can also get dragons to listen to him talking for sometimes hours on end. Despite what some other dragons in the clan thought, Marble turned out to be an excellent Clan Ambassador, and he's improved relations with many neighbouring clans through his work. Despite being a complete schmoozer, and nearly always managing to steer conversations towards himself, his looks and his achievements, Marble is a very proper dragon, who is incredibly polite when speaking to others. His etiquette is the most honed in the clan, and he often teaches young dragons the proper way to sit and eat, or hold a conversation with an important dragon. |
Marble was very uninterested in breeding with any of the dragons from the clan, and most thought this to be because he was far too self centred to even notice any dragons who might want to breed with him. But when a beautiful female skydancer waltzed into the clan, he fell head over heels for her. Marble and Tawny soon became very close and have become a loud, colourful and charismatic duo, and other dragons in the clan can barely remember a time when Tawny wasn't at Marble's side. Marble is never prouder than when Tawny is performing, however he can quickly become very jealous when another dragon stares at her for a little too long, or starts trying to charm her and he'll usually interrupt with his smooth talking ways, to steer the conversation, and the dragon, away from the original topic. Marble often acts annoyed and irritated at hatchlings darting around the lair, and complains at their unruly behaviour. But the truth is he enjoys watching hatchlings having fun, and the other dragons in the lair know he is only pretending to complain as he is a doting parent to his own offspring, who he often spoils rotten. And if a hatchling or a young dragon comes and asks him for help, while he might grumble and moan to other dragons, he'll always help the young dragon, his voice kind and his gestures soft as he proudly helps them with whatever it is they wanted doing. |
Marble is an incredibly vain dragon, who spends most of his time primping and preening and making sure he's looking his absolute best. He spends longest sorting out his mane, brushing it, and tweaking it to make sure it looks completely perfect. He often gets Tawny to look him over before meeting other important dragons, because he has to look perfect! He hates rain and water, because the damp and the humidity ruin his mane and tail feathers, and hates it when the adolescent dragons in the lair play pranks on him to ruin his good looks. |

Marble is just overall stunning. All the little details help his graceful look perfectly reside with the wind flight. I especially love the shimmering gold paired with the flowy greens. Not to mention the peaceful look added by his accent. My favorite part has to be the dove, it adds so much character to this pretty skydancer.
