AshBreath Summit
There was once a time when this land was quite fertile. In return for regular worship, the deity of the volcano would release large ash clouds that refertilizes the land. Because of this, the dragons of this land were blessed with bountiful land, lived easy lives, and had little need to squabble. Many other neighboring lands were jealous of the AshBreath tribe's prosperous land and were willing to fight tooth and nail to take it for themselves.
The AshBreath tribe had little experience in combat and as a result suffered many deaths. Reliant on the deity of the volcano, the dragons of AshBreath prayed desperately for a solution. The deity, having only gifted their subjects with peaceful gifts, was hesitant to bestow a power of war for fear it would warp the nature of the AshBreath tribe.
With great trepidation, the deity blessed the tribe head, ScorchHeart, and his descendants with a powerful curse. Their bodies ran unnaturally hot, wounds that would be deadly to any other dragon would sear closed, and when enraged could summon intense auras of fire.
With this gift, the AshBreath tribe protected their land with a fierce and unmatched strength. But in time, the tribe developed a taste for power. The once peaceful clan that had taken pride in their agriculture and religion now craved battle, and survived off the spoils of war and bloodshed.
Disgusted by the very subjects that had once worshipped them, the deity summoned ScorchHeart to the inner depths of the volcano. As punishment, the deity entrapped ScorchHeart at the heart of the volcano and turned his aura against him. For the eternity to come, his body would be continuously burned and healed, releasing vast amounts of toxic ash upon the land.
After this day all other dragons of the AshBreath tribe bestowed with the curse, known as the Scorched, lost any semblance of control over their aura and were no longer suited for battle. Now without fighters and plagued by the constant stream of toxic ash, the tribe struggles to survive as a lowly trading clan with a healthy respect and fear for their deity.
Only those of us, his descendants, are capable of surviving enshrouded in his ash.
