Energetic, inquisitive Jade is a common sight around Traveler's Rest. She enjoys wandering the gardens and chatting with her mate, Koi. Holding onto her old duty as one of the Retriever co-captains, Jade soars far and wide outside of the Rest, bringing back her desert findings and the occasional traveler. She also serves as one of the First Five, helping to lead the clan.

Originally from the Reedcleft Ascent, Jade met Hurricane during a festival. The Imperial's control of the winds amazed the young Jade, and she quickly latched onto Hurricane. After the festival ended, Jade decided to accompany Hurricane back to her fledgeling clan. After being dropped off at the to-be Rest, Jade did not take any responsibility. She spent her days wandering around the budding spires, under the excuse that she was surveying the territory. Mael and Belinda began to get annoyed with her, seeing as they did all the work of setting up the clan while Jade slacked off.

When Koi arrived at the clan, Jade was immediately infatuated with her. Koi, on the other hand, did not share that sentiment. Jade's affectionate rambling and the fact that she was constantly underfoot annoyed the Ridgeback, who had taken up many jobs around the clan. After being scolded, Jade resolved to take responsibility. She began actually surveying the territory, often going out with Koi to gather food and scavenge for materials. The two grew close, and became mates. While on a solo scavenging mission, Jade came across a Spiral hatchling in a set of ruins, unable to say anything coherent but her name: Persephone. Jade brought her back to the clan, finding Koi waiting with three Ridgeback hatchlings. The two decided to raise the hatchlings, with help from Mael, Belinda, and Sylph, who had become like family.
