Kaleidoscope

A devote follower of the oracle Obsidian, Kaleidoscope is highly intrigued by the Ridgeback's prophetic visions and cryptic knowledge of their other clanmates. So intrigued, in fact, that she's determined to replicate these visions herself by whatever means necessary. She's undergone many dangerous rituals with the lair's prophets, though Obsidian very openly detests these "experiments" of hers and often rebukes her for participating in such dangerous, self-destructive activities. Rather than speak in cryptic riddles, the oracle has resorted to flat-out telling Kaleidoscope that the rituals will always do far more harm to her than good, though the Coatl conveniently tends to ignore her idol's warnings, no matter how accurate her visions have been in the past.

Countless ritual failures have left the once optimistic and spirited Coatl a shell of her former self. Thought to be bubbly and goodnatured upon joining the clan, many now avoid interacting with Kaleidoscope due to her sudden outbursts, whether it be from a horrifying hallucination or an unexpected period of agony. The witch doctor Ethereal attempted to curb these outbursts with a painkiller of her own creation, though the contents of the concoction led to an unexpected and unhealthy addiction, leaving Kaleidoscope highly dependent on the substance to ease some of her unbearable pain. Any attempts to "sober up" leave the Coatl shaky and feverish, and her hallucinations occur at a more frequent and frightening level. Without the protection of the oracle, Lucifer claims he already would have had Kaleidoscope exiled and killed, referring to her as "a disgrace to [their] respectable breed." Luckily, Obsidian and her follower Virus keep a close eye on the colorful dragon, making sure their less-than-tolerant leader never has the opportunity to act on his threats.
