Uh-oh, looks like this wandering vagabond wandered a little too far from his home lair (401694, EmeraldCat), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

afraid of dying to the point of avoiding fights, conflicts and any situations that might leave him harmed or killed (even a slightly deeper yet basically harmless wound might get him to start panicking)
will actually run away rather than stand up for himself or defend his being
prefers being alone than in company
actually has a calming presence and is, unknowingly, attracted to dying, lonely dragons against his own will, as someone whose duty is to overlook their final moments and not let them die completely alone
might actually be a being of a higher "class" than a regular dragon

Jomo

Jomo could smell it; it was putrid and strong, the smell of blood and decay. It was simply in his nature to follow it, despite the smell being utterly nauseating.

Under the dark star-filled sky, on top of a hill surrounded by forest, he found a dragon... Or, what was left of one. A young Pearlcatcher, lying on his side. A fresh corpse for the scavengers, already partially eaten.
That's when the orange eyes opened to look at Jomo and he realized how much of a miracle it was that this bloodied mess of a dragon was still breathing at all.

The dragon kept his eyes locked on Jomo, but he did not move. There was blood dripping down the Pearlcatcher's snout, among other places. It was just a matter of time. Jomo could wait.

Minutes passed and the stars shone, yet the strange and depressing scene remained the same. Then, footsteps. Something big was approaching them. Jomo barred his teeth; sharp, white fangs. It was not a friendly gesture.

Something huge approached them, made of brown stone. For a moment it looked like a mountain came to life, wanting to witness the dragon's final breath. Then, once again, Jomo realized; it wasn't a mountain. It was the Earthshaker.
Jomo may have been mute, but he knew his history.

The Earthshaker barely glanced at Jomo before embracing the young Pearlcatcher. Heavy rocks started crumbling off the God's body and falling onto the dying dragon, yet the dragon didn't seem to feel pain as he didn't even let out a sound.
Last thing Jomo witnessed before running away was the tears rolling down the Pearlcatcher's face, before that too dissapeared under the rubble.
In his dying moments, the dragon seemed relieved.

That night, Jomo had trouble sleeping. He dreamt of the event over and over again, and when the sun finally came out, all he could see before him was the snout wet from tears yet holding a wide smile. Jomo, fearing death himself, could not understand why would the dragon he met not be afraid of dying, especially in such a harsh way; yet presumed, after going through what he did, he would also welcome death over the pain of torn flesh.

And so Jomo continued wandering the lands, but always wondered in the back of his mind what that must've felt like and was Death really someone everyone ran away from much like he did.

“no. No! NO!!!” Jomo screamed as he awoke from his slumber. He shivered as he sat on the cold ground, but not because he was cold. His dream was still taunting him.

He could still hear the whispers. ”Come join us Jomo. Join us! Join us Jomo. Come. Come join ussssss.”

Jomo couldn’t take it. “Go away!” He yelled back. “GO AWAY!” But they didn’t and Jomo couldn’t escape their torment.

As the night sky gave way to daylight Jomo stood and ran, as far and hard as he could to escape the echoing laughs coming from the cave.
