You might mistake this stoic dragon for a huge mossy boulder, but he is in fact an elderly snapper who made a home for himself in the mountains many years ago. When old age began to creep up on Scafell Pike, he decided to move his solitary den onto the tallest peak in Dragonhome, wanting to be as close as possible to the Earth god and his rugged domain. The dragon stood guard over the valley for so long that trees began to grow on his craggy shoulders, and his rough scales became calcified, forming a tough, rocky hide. Birds now nest in his curled horns, and animals graze peacefully at his feet, unaware that they are in the presence of the Mountain Watcher.

From his position high up in the cliffs, Scafell Pike can see out across all of Sornieth. He watches the seasons come and go every year, noting the start of spring from the buds on the trees, and the changing of the winds that bring April showers, and bitter snow in the winter. Nothing goes unnoticed, and the snapper occasionally converses with the local longneck tribes on the comings and goings of the realm, for they cannot be fooled and know that the craggy statue is actually a dragon.

Vowing to watch over the valleys of Dragonhome until the Earthshaker himself rises once again, Scafell Pike continues to view the rise and fall of the regions of Sornieth, every ready for signs that the deities are ready to rejoin the world that they created long ago.

Fun fact: I hatched him myself, my first ever primal g1 hatch! All his colours are earth-related too, so he's pretty special!

Scafell Pike is named after the most prominent mountain in England.
