Bubbly Buddy 		The day Clade hatched, the skies were filled with frenzied flashes of light. The dark clouds sluggishly rolled across the sky as the tiny, puny spiral clawed his way out of his shell.
He was alone. Abandoned. Forgotten.
The sky grew more and more dissatisfied, the clouds were practically glowing with rage, but no matter how much lightning painted the skies, not a single bolt hit the ground.
However, Clade did. He hit the ground with a thud, just as thunder seemed to shake the entirety of the Shifting Expanse. He skittered his way across the sandy stone, using all his energy to pull his head up and look out upon the rocky outcrop where he had awoken. Big, curious eyes scanned the desert ahead of him.
This is… home.
The world seems to freeze. It’s eerily silent, no more thunder, no wind rushing its way through the dune and brush, just angry, rolling clouds that seem to be worming their way across the sky.
He looks up, up to the clouds above him. The only living thing among this silent world.
There’s a spark, and a flash, and--
He’s struck, electricity wracking his body as he convulses and gasps for air.
He doesnt remember hitting the ground
