She's the sweet, innocent, naive one of her immediate family.
Fuchiawing often gets confused with simple things.
While her sister Blueshale may roll her eyes at their mother Miki's puns, Fuchiawing is more often then not left scratching her head.
She likes to spend her days watching the clouds go by while being buffeted by the warm breezes of the Reedcleft Ascent.
When she's relaxed enough, she'll retreat somewhere quiet with a scroll, an ink well, and a Corven feather to hone her art skills- she's quite good at it, but is too shy to show her stuff.
None of her family knows about her secret pastime, she only told her familiar because her Salve is great at tracking her down- there's no use trying to keep a secret from your Salve, they'll always find it- but never tell a soul.
Fuchiawing is quite timid and will fly or run off if a quarrel starts between other clan members, she's a daddies girl too.
Shadowing is quite used to her running to him and hiding under his wings when she inevitably gets spooked by something.
If Shadowing isn't around, and she's not the one who started fighting in the first place, Fuchiawing will find Blueshale and hover around her.
Blueshale is a bit resenting that her sister likes dad over her, but that does't mean she doesn't like it when Fuchiawing runs/flies up to her!
If she wasn't the Matriarch's and the Patriarch's daughter, she might not have such a sheltered life, and dragons would probably try to spook her for fun- but others know better than to mess with a leader's offspring.
She got a bit braver when her Salve came along.
Her Salve is very cunning, and since they've traveled the world, they know a lot of things, and has been able to show Fuchiawing that not everything is to be feared, there are some things in life that are quite beautiful if you are brave.
As for protecting, Fuchiawing doesn't really have that Guardian instinct- unless you count her protecting her secret art hobby, but other than that, she hasn't really shown any intent to protect.
