The Beginning

It didn't understand why everyone was afraid of it. It only remembered faint memories. There was a plague and he got very sick with his brother and sister. So sick in fact he died in is is sleep, his sister and brother as well. He was buried with them.
Then he awoke. He was covered in dirt so he climbed out. There were other voices. "Mother?" One called out. He turned to see his sister and brother attached to him. He didn't mind. He had heard stories of emperors, but never thought them as true. He went and wandered back to the clan, but they were scared of him and threw stuff at him, so he flew off into the shadowed woods, where nobody could see him and his siblings.

He awoke to a new voice, and a new smell. "Hello young one." Said the voice. They sounded kind, and unfearful. He poked his head out of the underbrush among with his siblings. "Are you lost? Come with me, we have much room in the clan for the three of you." Said the voice, a talon reaching out for them. It was a Skydancer, whom looked young, and smelled like roses. They are nice. he thought, nodding as he climbed out of the underbrush. "I'm morning. I'll name you Hydra." The Skydancer said.

Hydra.
That's a good name.

I like it.

"We can't keep a Emperor here!" Boomed a loud voice. It came from a Imperial who adorned gems and leaves.
"Let's be reasonable here. We have a Pearlcatcher with glowing eyes, a imperial with many eyes, and a blind wildclaw. We can take care of it!" Morning said reasonably.
"Morning is right, it's better than another clan finding it and using it for war. It's just a hatchling!" A Wildclaw said "Not to mention we also have a Nature spirit here. It protect the forest around the clan."
"STILL! It could turn on us at any moment. And if it grows, it could get bigger than me!" The Imperial growled, glaring at Hydra.
"It hasn't even grown to adulthood for a week! It probably never will make it to adulthood anyway!" Morning noted, flaring her wings.
The imperial huffed and turned and walked away, mumbling and hissing.

Scarlet sky, branches high
Silver scale, sickly fell
The children sleep,
One child weeps,
For what is lost,
they are three.

Mother, father, where are you?
I am aching, hungry and ever-blue

Scary faces, stinging rocks
Six gazes and million thoughts
Slow it down, time to think,
Where is shelter, who are we?

Strange gazes and among is ours,
Strangest being, beating hearts

Oh bliss here is, so happily
I wonder why sister weeps,
here we are and here we stay,
Strange is them and strange we lay
Quiet now, let's lay our heads
Three small children tucked in nests,
The scarlet sky is so bright,

Another day, another night, we are safe, we are right.
