To begin, I’ll be using Jira to refer to this beauty for this review, just for simplicity's sake!

I really enjoy her gene plans- I think that the breed really suits her, orca streak just looks great with the obsidian, and really blends itself very naturally into her primary.It adds a nice contrast while not looking out of place, and I find that’s the case with a lot of Gaolers- they really can make unique color combinations work in a very different way due to their manes and small wings. Jira seems a wonderful candidate for this. I also enjoy that her ears and beans have a reddish-pink accent color because they match quite well with her eyes! Which I’m honestly surprised I enjoy so much with this color combination. Weathered looks really great with that bright green, and it’s just very charming and the pop of color makes a simple dragon much more visually interesting.

I love the combination of green and pink, so I’m admittedly a bit biased here, but I particularly enjoy the second accent. On top of matching her eyes, it matches those little beans- at first I thought that was part of the accent! Initially I didn’t grasp the appeal, but it really ties in all of her coloration very well. I particularly love the facial markings. To me, this accent makes Jira look very coherent. It also has a lot of personality and I find that very interesting- without the accent, she looks a lot more rough and tumble, but that accent in particular gives her a more gentle appearance, which I enjoy.

The soft accents and harsher genes make for a really nice combination, surprisingly. It makes me feel like she could be a healer/mage, which might be fun considering you’re going to be leveling her! Even if she isn’t technically a mage in coliseum, it could explain how she is so experienced in tending to the wounded from her battles. Or it could be a situation where she’s left that life behind, considering she isn’t going to be fully leveled- maybe something about battling really did not work for her, and so she’s finding her own place outside of it. Again, I think too deep into this stuff, but I thought you might appreciate hearing what it makes me think of as you’re brainstorming story ideas!

That said, I still do like the first accent as well- it ties in the mantis really well, and it does distract some from the pink tones if you’re less interested in those. I really do enjoy how well it matches. Perhaps she could be the resident jeweler in this situation. This is a silly thing, but it makes me laugh/feel bad for her to imagine her having to battle with all of that dangly jewelry! Ow! Though I can hardly talk- a member of my main coli team, Claire, is vain as all hell and is quite bejeweled herself. Both accents are very nice choices, but certainly spin her character in two different ways. If in lore she continues to battle (technically), I’d like to wonder if her inspiration to get into Coliseum was monetary gain, or perhaps to get rare materials to use in her jewelry. So sort of scavenging. If she was more vain it could be interesting dynamic wise as well with whoever she works with in Coliseum (if she does) if she wants to avoid getting those piercings ripped out. So it could be a potential conflict of characters, which could be cool!
