When he turns invisible, only his blank, glowing eyeballs remain. As a hatchling, this dragon was lost countless times.

CYMAN is one of the few dragons to be born to the two self-proclaimed superheros (AQUAMAN and BROBIN) who actually has a superpower. His is invisibility, and since his glowing eyes seem to float when he uses it, he's called Foxfire as a superhero.

Not all dragons use this alias, however. The Scholar refers to him as Cyan the Spy, since she finds the name CYMAN distasteful, and since Spy is the easiest use for him. Foxfire never seems to have occurred to her. Under her, Cyan the Spy travels Sornieth in the summer, seeking to know all in her (lack of a) name.

As a slave to the winter Dance, and DISCODUDE, he is called nothing in particular - perhaps Dancer comes closest. But he doesn't need a name to dance and be danced with, to love and leap and spin in the pale twilight of the cold season, to pound the desert sand with his tail. He loves the winter dance, and all the joy it brings him.

His mother still calls him CYMAN, and always will. It's the name his first and best clan gave him, and one that will never leave the Spiral, no matter where he goes. He's obviously rather careful not to let the Scholar know that it might be his true name; she doesn't need any more power over him.

THE LIFE OF CY

____Cyman is a dragon who is intended to serve the Scholar, gifted to her by Manly McBro himself as he hopes to have an eventual bond with her clan. It is said that she can see through Cyman's eyes, and even speak through him if necessary. As a result, Cyman is a confident dragon, knowing that the Scholar will always keep him safe - though he also knows his safety has come at the cost of his freedom. He's almost paranoid as a result, though never about other dragons - rather, Cyman fears he might lose all freedom one day. The Scholar has already taken his body a few times, and he has not liked it at all. This means that when Cyman is told off inside his head, his cocksure attitude will disappear, and he'll go right back to his blank politeness, or even excuse himself.

Anything to please.

____Just like the Scholar's less sentient servants, Cyman is looking for a riddle that cannot be answered, a name that will let the Scholar channel her power into a single commanding word, and a heart that will beat as hers does. Unlike them, he can talk to other dragons and play riddle games with them to try and find one he - and his mistress - cannot answer. He can also get his fortune told to try and scry some sort of name, and he's happy to give a reading or two in return. He's admittedly lost on the heart thing; the Scholar will have to figure that out herself.

INVISIBILITY

____Cyman can make parts of his body invisible, which is mostly useful for the Dance; he can seemingly slide in and out of reality, as though emerging from a portal. Cyman can also use this ability to play tricks on less intelligent dragons, though he'd certainly be in trouble if he tried to use it on any kind of mage. Ghosts and seers can see Cyman easily even when he's completely invisible, he can still be smelled by Tundras and other sensitive dragons, and his body still gives off heat.

READINGS

____When it comes to readings, Cyman is entirely self-taught, having used books he found in the Scholar's great library. Cyman's speciality in readings is love readings - and he's even a bit of a matchmaker! One thing the Spiral will never do, despite the Scholar's insistence, is force apart two dragons to see their broken hearts - there's enough of those already, if she wants to study that. Cyman would much rather bring dragons together, though he's never considered a proper mate for himself.

THE DANCE

____During the winter months, Cyman joins The Dance - a group of dragons who come from everywhere to dance (duh) and bathe themselves in the glow of Unphazer's crashed spaceship. The Dance has become increasingly difficult due to the thousands of cats now roaming the area, and Cyman often finds his tasks under DISCODUDE to amount to removing cats from dragons, dragons from cats, and herding cats from the dance floor.

FEARS

____Cyman has little to fear, with the Scholar's protective magic keeping him permanently youthful and uninjured; this can make him rather cocky. However, what he then fears is the Scholar's magic itself. The whispers in his head and the occasional taking over of his body - 'to save your life, Spy' - do not put Cyman at ease. He even suspects the Scholar may even be using his body when he sleeps - Spirals are known for sleepwalking, but Cyman's behaviour and movements seem all to convenient at times, as the Scholar drives him from places he rather likes.

Despite being a Spiral, Cyman has a distinct and deep-seated fear of snakes, cucumbers, vines and anything else that is long and green (yes, including other dragons!). It's unclear where this fear comes from, but he will jump if you put one behind him. And he will probably turn invisible, too. A fun party trick, but you literally won't see the consequences coming.

Cyman never wears apparel as it would not turn invisible with his ability, but he does occasionally carry a rose to remember the mighty man-dancer DISCODUDE by. This rose has gotten him into trouble several times, as it has allowed other dragons to track his movements by the falling petals.

Cyman is a bold, confident dragon, but he's also very polite; this makes him a calm, centred, and all-round very believable reader. His predictions may not always be correct, but they generally sound correct and are full of certainty. Like many dragons, reading fortunes is Cyman's primary form of income, but unlike many, magic is not involved.

Just like his parents, Cyman is completely incapable of casting magic. Most hatchlings from this pair are deformed in their abilities magic-wise, but Cyman is utterly bereft. Some suspect that this is a trade-off with his invisibility, since his parents have great strength to make up for their lack of magic. Then again, Cyman is uncharacteristically weak for a member of the MANGENTA MAN-CAVE...
