Cloudshield

The Twisting Crescendo - the powerful storm that has raged since ancient times. This clash of energy is so powerful that occasionally, a smaller storm is thrown out into the surrounding landscape. These storms usually end up in other parts of the Windswept Plateau or the Sea of a Thousands Currents and soak up nearby elemental magic. If a storm soaks up enough magic, it takes on a corporal form and becomes a living being.

Sucking up the deep mists of the Tangled Woods into their wind funnels, the storms tossed from the Crescendo quickly become creatures of living darkness. Due to the way light seems to almost disappear when they are in the area, these beings were given the name Eclipse. Swirls of mist cling to their wings and legs, floating on the breeze as they travel. Eclipses are very quiet and secretive, rarely showing themselves to others, yet oddly enough seem to adore Solarflares and wanting to spend time with them.
