Biography
____ |
The Order speaks in reverence of the one named Howl, the Mirror who slayed the many headed beast. The one who had led them to their promised land. They were a born leader, a messiah among beasts and none opposed them but neither did they accept their rule or the crown of blood and rot that was placed upon their head. Always reluctant, hardly seen only unless they’re needed. the Orders Patron is a ghost of a leader. The strongest of them all, the one so untouchable whos power is unmatched; so why do their eyes tell stories unwritten in the scrawls of leather of their libraries. Why do they speak of sadness and loss when they have given so much to the Order? Howl is an enigma, a ghost among the tattered wastelands of broken bark and dreams that litter their territory. They keep to themselves for the most part, their words always short and to the point and yet the ears of each member are attentive, every member seems to hold a deep rooted respect for their alpha - for Howl whom never asks for anything from them at all. What they seek is not grandeur or power but something to quell the loneliness in their heart, the losses they have faced throughout their life have far outnumbered the gains in which they found in these new lands. Their history tells of a life that met it's peak before falling asunder in the nether realm of despair. Few know of the story of Howl and the beast in which they slayed - the monster that tore through the Abiding boneyard and crushed all in it's wake with no respect to the departed nor the living. A monster born of blood - a monster sharing their blood. Who would know the magic that binds them into a body of flesh that wasn't there own? Who would know the cost of a scroll to distort their form as their family; their beloved kin distorted into one hungering behemoth of carnal want and suffering whom had no choice but to change. Some would say the Alpha is a false god, a false leader, but they would agree that they in so many respects are a false child - a false mirror - one who reflects an image that is not their own a face that escaped a fate worse than death; a face they hate more than anything else. They did what they had to do to survive, did what they had to do to lay rest to the souls that nurtured them and it's a wonder why they didn't follow that monster into the abyss. Azamel would claim because they still had a fight within them, still had a luster for life but Howl would claim they were merely to scared to die and maybe in the end they're both right. After all even if Howl had no care for life after theirs ended with the deaths of their kin they found their luster in another in a woman so much weaker then them - so unlike them a woman who sees them not as the savior of their pack, not as the alpha, not even as the horrific howl but as her beloved - as the dragon they are. ▬▬ ADDITIONAL ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
