Biography
A skilled enchantress, she binds the magic of other dragons into crystals and gemstones for later access. Through her skills a water dragon may light a fire, a shadow light their way, or a nature dragon draw the stones from their garden bed. This is a straining process for her, and her services do not come cheaply, but she is happy to fulfill this service for any who can meet her price.
Hailing from a small clan in the Crystalspine Reaches, Idabelle grew up with her sister, Shade. She had a happy childhood, but during adolescence she developed a skin condition that drew the pigment from her skin in patches. Embarrassed and worried for her health, she sought the assistance of many healers, none whose magic could even give her condition a name. In her search, she came to Dragonhome, and there met a Seeker named Kier, who gave her word of a medic in Cairnstone Rest who gathered his information and made diagnoses not on the instinct of magic, but on observations.
Idabelle followed Kier to Oakrest where the medic, Oddity, studied her condition and declared it a form of vitiligo. He gave her a number of treatment options, but also the long-term prognosis that there was no known cure for her condition. His best suggestion was plenty of sunlight in an attempt to re-activate her melanin.
What better place to enjoy sunlight than Oakrest itself, full of beautiful sunning terraces and the bright sun beating down into the desert? Idabelle chose to stay, as she found the clan not too unfriendly, and began building friendships with Oddity and his assistant, Nibiru.
