Biography
For most dragons, using fire magic produces a natural aggression. While this is useful for an attacking army and preventing a rout, it is crippling to a skilled mage who must remain calm to perform their spells. Much of the mages' time involves gaining control over this aggression.
One of their more notable practices is a daily meditation. During meditation they light a candle, only able to leave once the wax has burned out.
These attempts to curb aggression have resulted in some unexpected things, such as owning an extensive collection of Ice and Water Flight literature.
Member ideas:
- A veilspun who hypnotizes their enemies with a dance, enhanced by colored flames. This greatly increases their range, as a dragon can stay hypnotized so long as the flame remains in their vision.
- A dragon who uses incense to increase the morale of other dragons, to induce healing, or a number of other effects. Their support can keep an army fighting for hours.
- A dragon with an especially high control over smoke. Though smoke can sometimes be used as an attack, most armies have at least a few wind dragons to blow it away. It also has no effect on fire dragons; it is here when smoke gains its true utility. It can be used to hide the size of a fire army. It is also common strategy to deploy smoke clouds containing only a few soldiers, in an effort to trick an enemy into defending that location. As the smoke's heat exceeds that of a dragon, mirror dragons cannot use their eyes against this ability.
