The beautiful coral that grows interrupted within the Sea of a Thousand Currents has recently become greatly endangered with the combination of the Tidelord's disappearance and the sudden changes in weather.

With constant threats looming above and below, some of the more resilient branches have, with the aid of sporadic pockets of magic, become sentient. When not focused on spreading and repopulating their treasured home, they'll do whatever they must to keep it safe.


Contrary to their brilliant-colored hides, those that live in the Fishspine Coral are excellent with sneak attacks, as many intruders don't notice their initial approach.

Neph have the ability to manipulate the water around them to slow and disorient potential enemies, as well as camouflage their appearance to the surrounding environment without the need for magic. Those with a particularly strong affinity for magic can create potentially deadly whirlpools.

They nest in the same area as Chio and Fael, and, despite never having left Water, hatchlings have the chance of mysteriously being born with Ice eyes, too. Those with Ice eyes also have the ability to rapidly cool the water immediately surrounding an opponent, further hindering them.
