Determined and optimistic, Diran knows how to work his way towards whatever he wants. He's nigh on bred for hard work, if one believes in such a thing, and there's nothing soft about any part of him. It's all calluses and strength born from blood, sweat, and tears. His words tend to be biting, and Diran doesn't quite know how to speak softly or read the room, and his actions are always done with intent backing them. Hard work may be in his bones, but doing things without reason is a waste of time and effort. And being wasteful is not something Diran wishes to be. Time is money, and money puts food on the table, and Diran can dislike the materialistic side of the world until his dying breath but it won't change a thing. It was that need for money, and food, that drove him towards the path of a sellsword. There was always a need for a hardy warrior, and wasn't that exactly what Diran prided himself on being? But for someone like himself, raised with honour and strict morals, how far would he allow himself to go for money? How far down the path of the greedy can he go without losing himself? He hopes, in the still of night, it won't change him. He believes, beneath the scorching sun, he'll be a shell of himself when it finally ends. | __ |
