Hatchlings are corrupted, "glitched out" wildlife affected by Samhayn's condition
Wildlife includes regular animals (birds, wolves, etc), mythical creatures (griffons, harpies, etc) and even dragons that wander too close to Samhayn when she's having an episode
Besides physical abnormalities, corruptions can sometimes cause these creatures to gain dragon-level intelligence and sentience
Gawain and Jabberwocky work together to rehabilitate these beings and, if they wish, rehome them
