Unknown

One chilly day a single egg was in it's nest nearly ready to hatch, moments later the little dragon inside manged to make a small crack on the egg trying to hatch out, a gush of chilly air went though the crack of the egg, the little dragon kept trying and trying but could not crack it anymore and was starting to get weaker and colder by every second. It lifts it's small paw and pushes weakly on the egg trying to break it with a small cry before taking it's last breath...

Everything went black and quite which felt forever, suddenly the little dragon hears a voice and open's his eyes and see's a dark colored dragon looking down on him, the little dragon tried to stand up but instead rolls over and realizes he is still in his egg, a wave of panic struck him and starts clawing at his eggshell trying to break out, the dark colored dragon slowly lifts it's paw and places it near the egg and takes a claw out and and puts his claw down the crack of the egg before taking his paw away, the little dragon tried and weak after panicking looks at the small hole in his egg and with a final big push with his paws he breaks the egg and comes tumbling out.

The litter dragon now free from his egg looks up at the big dark colored dragon as it lowers it's head down to the hatching, *what is one so young doing here in the afterlife?* it says with a cold breath and pauses a moment before speaking again, *hmm... follow me little one*, the little dragon followed the dark colored dragon for a long time, he looked around and saw a dragon which seemed to be helping other dragons and creatures pass though the afterlife.

After a long time the dark colored dragon stopped and looks down at the little hatching, *here you can go back to the living, your life has only begun* he pauses again before speaking, *though half of you will be here in the afterlife and the other in the living, you can travel though both worlds at will and help others travel though the afterlife and hatch in the living once your time is ready* he pauses again not sure if this little dragon even understand's or will remember but will be there for him once his time comes to help, the little dragon listens to ever word of the dark colored dragon trying to understand before he can think anymore gets nudged to the gates to the living, he looks up at the dark colored dragon, the dark colored dragon nods his head, *go little one, back to the living*, he slowly steps back and the little dragon turns his head and looks at the gates and gulps and slowly takes a step forward then another...

Everything is still and quite which felt like forever once more then suddenly he feels chilly air coming though his egg once more, he opens his eggs and panic struck's him again and claws at his eggshell but then remembers a dark colored dragon clawing a small hole in his eggshell, he has no idea if that was real or not but he put's his paw on his eggshell and takes his claws out and manages to break a small hole in his egg, he get's ready and pushes as hard as he can and pushes at the eggshell and comes tumbling out into the nest and into the living, he takes a gulp of chilly fresh air and slowly sits up and looks around.

A voice from the dark colored dragon comes to mind again, *you have the ability to travel in living and afterlife when your time is ready, help others travel though the afterlife and being hatched- (like some sorta life - death magic ability)-.

One year later.

It was time for the younglings to get there rank in the clan, everyone went quite when it was Unknown's turn he sat there for a moment before sharply turning his head as someone called his a freak, his dark colored eyes stared into his as the dragon coward behind his mother, Unknown sighs and looks around at everyone before standing up, turning away from everyone and slowly walks away from his birth clan, no idea where he will go but anywhere would be better then here, not even his parents said goodbye to him...

He traveled for some time and a Tatteredwing Carcass vulture joined in with the lonely dragon travel, soon becoming a sorta ally to the dragon.

Months have passed from traveling into the unknown, Unknown pushes back some dead branches and bushes and see's a huge temple, he looks at his vulture as it perks up and opens it's up wing lifting off from the dragon's back to go see, Unknown slowly follows his ally to the temple, he pauses at the entry and looks around seeing no one before walking inside, he soon spots a hidey place and plops his self down under the stone and branches exhausted, his eyes flicking shut, he see's someone walk in front of him but is to tried and everything goes black.

Unknown flickers his eyes open, he feels like he has been sleeping forever, he lifts his head up and see's a pile of food and bowl of water next to him, he looks around confused but does not see anyone around, he sniff's the food and water, does not smell bad or poison and starts eating and drinking, his ally comes down and takes a rat from his pile and eats it for himself.

A moment passes and a dark colored dragon walks in, *Ah you is finally awake, thought you never wake up*, the dark dragon smiles a little, Unknown jumps a little being bit startled from another dragon.

They two talk for some time before the dark colored dragon called Lodine leads Unknown to deeper into the temple to the clan's camp grounds, a few other dragons look up and great the new dragon.

Lodine stops walking, *here this space is free*, Unknown nods his head, *thank you*, he walks into his little cave-ish spot within the temple walls, he familiar perches on top of a broken bit of wall keeping it's eyes open for it's next meal and glad it can rest after there traveling. Lodine turns away but pauses, *if you need anything just ask me*, she pauses before speaking again, *and with your gifts I can help you as best as I can but a feel someone in the afterlife there can train you more then I can*, she then walks away to let Unknown settle in.

Many months have passed since he joined the clan and Unknown has seen many dragons and other creatures pass in and out, some stay like himself and his familiar, he has gotten training from his clan leader Lodine in the living and a the dark colored dragon he meet as a hatchling in the afterlife teaches the ways there with his gifts.

He is thinking about his past when suddenly someone rushes to him in panic, he looks up but before he could speak the she-dragon shoves him up half dragging him to her nest with her single egg barley open with it going cold inside her baby is dying, it is winter and the egg is freezing over fast making it hard to open without hurting the baby inside the egg. Unknown stares at the egg with flash backs of his past when he was trapped, he take a deep breath coming back he turns and walks away his eyes dripping with the shadows teleporting to the afterlife.

Everything is quite for a moment, he opens his eyes and see's his mentor next to the dead baby inside the egg he to remembering when he saved Unknown and looks up at him as he walks over, Unknown looks at the egg carefully before lowing his head and breathing fire at the egg melting away the frost, warming up the egg before taking a claw and cutting the egg open alittle and steps back waiting, hoping...

Suddenly the baby pushes the egg and it breaks enough for it to roll out shivering, it looks up at the huge dragons scared but calms down as Unknown gentle talks to it walking with it to the portal to the living, he nudges the wee dragon and it slowly walks into it and fades away... his mentor behind him proud of his apprentice walks over, *you did well Unknown, you are ready to be on your own, we will always be here if you need us, now go back to the living your job is not done yet* he walks away deeper into the afterlife and Unknown takes a deep breath staying there for a moment before teporting back to the afterlife infront of the nest, the mother around her egg trying her best to keep her baby alive, Unknown slowly walks over *leave the nest* the mother slowly stands up not wanting to but does as told and stands next to her mate and the leader of the clan, Unknown lowers his head down to the egg waits a moment before breathing a blast of fire onto the egg, he feels the mother try stop him in a panic but her mate pulls her back, Unknown stops and takes a claw out opening the egg alittle now the frost/ice as melted away abit and steps back and the mother rushes back to the egg hoping her baby is still alive, a long time nothing happened then suddenly the wee dragon inside comes back and pushes on the egg enough to break it before rolling out with a few light burns on it's scales due to the fire, it's mother with tears in her eyes wraps her body around her baby with her mate walking over and joining them, Unknown looks at them before turning away but pauses, *thank you for saving my baby!* says the mother, Unknown nods his head slowly, *it's burns will heal* he says before walking away back to his cave, he clan leader walks over to him *that must of been hard for you Unknown but you did well, you saved it's life from living, afterlife and living once more*, Unknown nods his head slowly and his leader leaves him alone.

Unknown has lived within the temple with his familiar for a long time now, dragons still abit wary of him but he has called it home, each night he helps in the afterlife and in the living sometimes some hatchlings within there eggs.
