Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this Infectious Mirror wandered a little too far from his home lair Fantivity, and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

A curious hatchling, and he likes hiding in Mossy’s mane. Anddd now he’s chewing on the icicles. Great. Now he is complaining that he has a brain freeze. Well- I do love to travel around, and have been sent around since I was a child. I love the idea of not spending too much time in one area. I bring stories and gifts, some say I'm extremely mischievous though!

Well, the lad has been growing up fine and strong! Everybody has been doting on him since he first arrived, and now, despite how much of a little fiend he's been the entire time, it'll be sad to see him go--but it's off to bigger and better adventures for him now! I've given upon him a little book to record all his travels. And now, until we meet again, be safe little Hellbound, and happy travelling. -Junior

Yes, he has arrived. He's kind of... not to be rude or anything, kookoo. He was very aggressive when he came over, luckily he didn't attack any one of us. He does remind me a lot of that dragon Travis from my sister's lair... so I gathered up everyone for a meeting on plans to calm him down, my daughter Cinnamon questioned me about why I even brought him in, oops! Off topic! So we decided to give him a frog to play with (Honestly, we thought that he would eat the frog). Lucky for us, he actually calmed down! Well, he started jumping all over the place as well, but... oh well! It will be sad for me to let him go once he's done staying, but I wish him happy travelling! Someone else here wants to travel like h- I keep on going off topic, don't I?

The little blighter is getting bigger. That wouldn't have been a problem had I know he would grow so fast. The den we had prepared for him had been smaller, more cozy for a dragon of his reported size. I suppose it doesn't matter now, I've offered him a temporary place to sleep in my den. My bed is quite big, so I can share, though he's rather cold. I was expecting warmth from a plague dragons. Oh well, it wasn't a big deal.

It's been exciting. Hellbound has bonded with quite a few of my dragons, and definitely not been shy to join in on the action. I do think everyone will miss him, including myself. Loviatar, our Plague ambassador has become particularly attached to him, and if I suspect correctly, she will be quite distraught when he's gone. We all anticipate his leave tomorrow. Good luck, little one. Well, not so little anymore. He's nearly as big as me!

Apparently the Whispering Willows had a traveling dragon pass through, and now he's coming here. I'm a little nervous, as, quoted from Verdigris' description "He looks like he came walking straight out of bathtime in The Wyrmwound." But nobody could really be that bad, now could they.
Could they?

He finally arrived! It was pouring outside, and between the wind and the lightning, it was difficult to say if a traveler would still be alive. Nevertheless, he arrived, a red scarf trailing soggily. Lightning flashed, silhouetting him perfectly in the doorway, like something straight from a horror scroll. Saffron welcomed him, and they immediately began to bond. it was strange the way that Mirrors seemed to love flocking with each other. I suppose Saffron really hadn't met another mirror in his life. We invited him for dinner and he was surprisingly pleasant. He had good manners, was... decent with the dragonettes, and left many bite marks on essentially everything he touched.
A strange dragon, but he seemed to have good intentions. I suppose he'll have to leave soon. Just when Saffron was starting to get attached...

Buck and I were out shopping for gloves to give to the new hatchlings in our den when he arrived. We found him playing with Dante, the only other dragon with smirch in our lair. Right from day one he has been a little gremlin! He taught the hatchlings how to pick the vault lock, so the tend to steal the sweets we keep from them after meal time. When Geode first made tea, he switched the sugar with white pepper and Geode felt like such a failiure! Don't worry, he made up for it later, and he tried to get HiC, our resident Alchemist, to give him platinum scales! we have never had such a trouble maker in our life before! But he made our home so lively, hopefully he comes by again some time! Dante misses his friend.
Hyzenthlaay's Lair wrote:
Clan Mavenlark is no stranger to travelers, being that it's a city, so scarcely anyone noticed or cared when Hellbound came through their doors. They did, however, start caring when he caused a ruckus with his denmate in the refugee camp that he was directed to temporarily live in during his stay, and was promptly thrown out by three armed guards. A little shaken by the events, he quietly skirted off into the night.
Fr0stBites' Lair - Peony's Notes wrote:
Hellbound seems to have made a new best friend with our own Plague Mirror, Pestilence. They're almost never seen apart from each other and always causing some form of mischief! Pestilence by himself is already a handful, I don't know how I thought having two Plague Mirrors would be easy... I've had to stop them mid-shenanigan several times.
Despite being especially feisty, he seems to calm down around Helvetti, our clan's advisor. They also seem to have gotten very close and friendlier than I would like. If this results in a hatchling, I would like to see how it fares without its influential father.

Hellbound settled into the festering wound rather quickly. Stalking the younglings in the shadows he was approached by a young female by the name of Kylo, who was curious as to his intentions within the lair. They began to spend their days discussing the ways of the soup, growing closer each day, until the day their twins, Hecate and Diabolus came. As they got older he began teaching them the ways of deception and terror as they pranked the elders of the clan with increasing tenacity before the day of reckoning. The elders met for a full day discussing the disaster Hellbound had brought to the lands with his destructive actions, and the ramifications of keeping him within the folds of the Festering Wound. On 5/16/2020, Hellbounds fate was decided, as he was exiled from the Lair of the Festering Wound, and forced to leave his mate and 2 hatchlings to fend for themselves among the ruffians and scoundrels of the clan~

I think it's safe to say he made a friend with another mirror, from our clan. The other mirror's name is Soul, they spent a lot of time talking. From what I can tell, they were exchanging stories of their travels. Hellbound is a traveling dragon, and Soul had a fair share of solo journeying earlier in life. I can see why they bonded, and it makes me happy to see Soul truly opening up to someone. I'm glad Hellbound came to our clan.

Hellbount and KOTHOGA find treasure
"Hey, Hellbound, look what I found! This ancient scroll has some weird symbols on it," KOTHOGA said excitedly.
"Hmm, let me see. It looks like a map. Maybe it leads to a treasure," I speculated.
"A treasure? You and your love for shiny things. But fine, let's check it out," KOTHOGA said, rolling his eyes.
We followed the map and found ourselves in a dark cave. Suddenly, a loud rumble echoed through the cave.
"What was that?" KOTHOGA whispered nervously.
"I don't know, but it sounds like the cave is collapsing!" I yelled as the ground began to shake.
We frantically searched for an exit until we stumbled upon a hidden chamber. Inside, we found an ancient hoard of gold and jewels.
"Score! I told you there was treasure," I laughed triumphantly, gazing at the glittering treasure.
As we reveled in our newfound riches, the cave continued to groan and creak ominously.
"Uh, Hellbound, I think we should get out of here, like, now," KOTHOGA urged, his eyes wide with fear.
Just as we made our escape, the cave collapsed behind us.
"Phew, that was close!" I exhaled in relief as we emerged from the rubble.
"Yeah, but the next time you drag me into a treasure hunt, I'm bringing earplugs," KOTHOGA grumbled, shaking dirt from his scales.
And so, with our pockets and spirits enriched, we left the cave, vowing never to ignore strange symbols on ancient scrolls again.

Child of Arcanist.. This singular Mirror has caused as much trouble as one of those great hive beasts.

It all started after I granted a fellow sorcerer an enchanted book. He wasn't that bad of a fellow, yet I found myself pestered as he questioned my very authority. It is an outdated stereotype that us Pearlcatchers are cowardly. Still, I hope to see him again.

Well, afterwards.. he appeared, and introduced himself as Hellbound. And he certainly seems to be. The first thing he did was showcase his plague magic.. by making Jeremias sick. We wound up sending her away so no one else would catch this thing.

He cast some of that plague magic at me in a game of "hot potato", forcing me to block it with my staff. I suppose having plague magic this sickly can help our battles. Aside from the fact that now my staff kills any flora within three spirals' worth. I can handle that.

Then, he played with Kajiko, and they faintly bit each other a few times. That would've been almost a relief if it weren't for this -mysterious- crater in our lair, right next to my battle trophies. That might be a good time to ask, where is my electrical augmentation device?

2/18/24.

I was gone for two moons, what the [illegible] happened here? Our various residents, from Ruby to Xeserut appear stressed, yet with Hellbound nowhere to be seen. Half a dozen dragons are quarantined in the medical bay. The singular trace of his former presence is this strange white and red Sandsurge who claims to have
"Sent him out to collect me some treasure, of course!".

Great. So first everyone gets sick, then my electrical augmentation device got stolen, and now the perpetrator is completely missing thanks to some stranger who came out of nowhere to be all ominous. Give me a break.
