Izumi
"The rain after the drought" Kind | Outgoing | Chearful Izumi froze as he watched the wildclaw approach. It was as if the world had stopped. As if for a moment, all the birds stopped singing, the insects had stopped flying, the fish had stopped splashing, and the waterfall that he was akin to stopped rushing. All the motion in the world meant nothing held up against the feeling he felt seeing the dragon that stood before him. The perfect land in which Izumi lived suddenly felt… inadequate. After a moment, once he had returned to himself a bit, he began to slowly approach. It was at this moment Izumi’s mind thrust him into a memory. One from so long ago, he had nearly forgotten of its existence. Back when he did not have a dragon form and was merely the concept of the flowing waterfall and the rippling surface of his lake. He had watched the animals live, watched them grow and thrive. They always seemed so happy. Izumi had wanted that, so he used the inherent magic in the environment he was a piece of and built the form he used now. Once he was finished, he used this form to guard his land, and help the forest become the utopia it was the day he met this wildclaw. Still, beneath the contentment and pride he felt for this land, he felt thick chains on his very being. Bindings that kept him from truly enjoying the paradise he’d help create. It was only now, standing before this dragon, that those chains lifted. Izumi felt a lightness he hadn’t experienced in much time. It was at this time that he reached the wildclaw. Still slightly shaken, he stammered, “G-greetings, who might you be? What brings you to my home?” The wildclaw paused a moment before answering, “My name is Gemini, I seek acceptance, I seek peace”. “Gemini, that’s a very nice name. I understand your quest. My name is Izumi, sit, let’s talk for a while”. The two dragons talked for a while, each understanding each other in ways, neither had ever experienced. They both seemed to understand they were the thing missing from each other’s life. For the first time in his life, Izumi felt complete. He knew in his very being that Gemini felt the same, and, through a promise made without words, they would never let that feeling fade away. Lore by Dragonraven21
