One would not necessarily believe that the dragon who spends his days at Caramaelstron Beach, apparently in the height of leisure, would be a powerful enchanter. At best, he might appear to most as a blowhard who got lucky, a dragon wasting his time doing absolutely nothing of import.

They would, of course, be wrong, but Caio is happy to let fools be fools, and bygones be bygones. So what, he thinks, if they find him lazy or a hack? Then they have no need of his power, and he will spend his time and energy on himself until someone else arrives.

And when that someone arrives, then he supposes he'll pull out all the stops.

Only certain dragons come to him, though, dragons who have need of particular talents. Caio would describe these talents as the boons of the omniscient, but in their simplest form, he is a practitioner or surveillance magic. With a few feathers or scales or even a sliver of a pearl, he can gaze into the life of the associated dragon, learn who they are, where they are, what they're doing, and sometimes more.

It's a terrible power, one with great responsibility. He is not unaware of this. But whatever funds his days lying in the warm sun on golden sands is fair game to him. What dragons do with the powers he wields is ultimately not his business.

Besides, should anyone turn on him, his life is shrouded in enchantment. One hostile move, and every charm in the area will alert him to search for a new beach to wile away his days on. He is not above keeping such priorities, and he likely never will be.

One of the few dragons who are well aware of Caio's true skills are Kelly, who couldn't care less, and Morana, whose looks drew Caio in to the point he forgot to keep his magic a secret. He often wonders if she's manipulating him with her charms to use his magic to further her agenda but Caio maintains his beliefs that she's entitled to do whatever she wants with his magic.

He knows exactly what he's getting from their relationship and he's happy that way. Still, he keeps his escape spells within reach whenever he is with her and pays great attention to her own magic, to ensure he can always flee safely to another town, far away from any problem or responsibility over the consequences of his powers.

• Nobody is 100% sure if his real name is Caio because you see, Kelly calls him Caio but Kelly never calls people by their real proper names which makes people around the clan wonder.

• He just showed up one day and kind of stayed. They don't know what to do with him because he's not causing trouble, he's just inconvenient.

• If you ask anybody in Porto they'll say he lives at the beach and sells random stuff he scavenges from the shores and also hand crafted items.

• Nobody is going to hold the fact that he smells bad against him but holy deities, would they love to have him accept their offers of a nice warm bath.

• If Caio is smelling nice and looking well-kept, you can be sure he's having a date with Moranna.
