 OTHER NOTES - » Elysia sighed as another dragon limped into the clearing outside of her cave. It was already late afternoon, and yet still more patients to treat. She searched through her herb basket and counted her medicinal potions on her potion rack. She had enough supplies. If this went on, she would run out of resources approximately ten dragons later. It was certainly strange that a drastic number of dragons were getting themselves hurt badly. Was it coliseum season again, or was something else going on? Scratches, burns, bruises, frostbite… for goodness’ sake. “Alright everyone, please make a line. No pushing or shoving, please. Dragons with deeper and more urgent wounds at the front, and dragons with minor injuries such as scratches and bruises at the back. Thank you for your cooperation.” As the dragons shuffled into a line, a golden-pelted pearcatcher stood at the front. He scowled as he clutched at his leg. “Berry? You haven’t lost a battle or have an opponent land a single scratch on you in a long time. What happened? Weren’t Ambar and Jarvan with you?” Berry’s magenta eyes glinted with annoyance. “I didn’t lose a single battle. I just tripped. On a rock. On the way home.” Elysia could tell he was lying but brushed it off as she motioned for him to enter. As Berry laid his injured leg on a flat boulder, Elysia inspected it carefully and then raised her head. “Since when do rocks attack dragons who trip on them with Mana Bolts?” Berry suddenly became extremely interested in the carpet as he glanced down at the ground, avoiding Elysia’s question. “Alright, alright, maybe you accidentally hurt yourself with your own spell. Drink this herbal tea and I’ll patch your leg up in no time.” Berry winced as he gulped down the swirling dark green mixture and looked as if he was about to vomit. Elysia raised an eyebrow but wasted no time dressing his leg in and wrapping it up in two long strips of cloth which were soon stained in splotches of crimson. “Take care now. I recall Ambar mentioning that your team will be battling against the beastclans later this week, correct? If all three of you come back here with heavy injuries…” Berry gulped. “Yes, ma’am. Please don’t lace the medicinal potions from Cocoa you give us with poison.” “I would never do that. I’m a healer; I don’t even know where to get poison... Actually, I do, but I would never poison anyone. Go on your way now; good luck on your next battle, and I’ll have to treat the next dragon outside briefly.” Berry trotted outside as Elysia brought the next patient in, beginning to treat them and the sun slowly set, its golden rays bouncing off the shining mirror-like surface of the pond outside of the cave… A productive day.
