Greetings and welcome, not that I believe you'd need it. The best welcome a dragon gets here is a hot plate of food and an imperial-sized drink. Here, order something and I'll pay so long as you sit and have a chat with me. We can talk about anything or I can simply listen. Sometimes a dragon just needs an ear.

asLbxD1.gif Despite hatching into the clan, Alfirin, Vapori retained little memory of it. Her life belonged to the ship and the sea despite the origin of the temper she'd been hatched with. She was hardly adventurous, even as a hatchling and spent more time observing the world around her. Nothing was done if she couldn't do it exactly the way she had seen it done or better. Being a banescale had its limits when it came to working on a ship but the dragon learned how to put her wings to good use despite a lack of any claws to grip things.

Her attitude didin't reflect her work. From the get go the dragon could multitask and loved to jest with others. She could watch how to lower the sails and play a guessing game at the same time. It was impressive to the peers that paid attention and as she got older, it was vastly impressive when she was put to work. It seemed as the older she got, the better she could keep up a conversation and continue working on many things at once and the banescale loved to converse.

She didn't need bribery or fear to have others on her side. Vapori did that on her own through conversation and a kindness uncharacteristic to most pirates. She delighted in working and sometimes offered to take over additional responsibilities even if it went against a command. So long as the captain didn't find out, it didn't bother her and it certainly didn't bother whomever she was assisting. In doing this, Vapori never had to worry about enemies.
