LOTUS / THE TEA SERVER / SHE/HER
"Here you are, madam! Oh, one moment..." Lotus's spare teacups clink like windchimes as she bustles about the shop. It's rush hour, and the winds are cold in the Cloudsong-- a perfect afternoon for tea.
"Let's see here... Darjeeling and chocolate, milk oolong and custard..." She pairs pastries with each teapot, half-juggling plates and pots and cups. Each one finds its way to a table, and just as swiftly, she sweeps up the empty teapots and returns them to the counter, where Eulalia is busy trying to prevent Buttercream from licking the crumbs off of the plates.
She's a whirlwind in more ways than one; a quick gust of wind magic often serves to rebalance a plate on her shoulder or keep a sprig of herbs from dipping into someone's drink. The customers feel it's a bit distracting, with all these erratic breezes and such, but it's worth it for the tea (and the incredibly quick service).
When the rush has died down somewhat, Lotus unstraps her towel and rubs her claws, trotting over to the counter. Gelato sets out a few plates of newly-ordered desserts for her to run out, but stops her before she leaves.
"My word, Lotus, you're working like a devil out there." He adjusts his hat and looks her over. "I can handle orders if you like-- are you sure you don't need a moment's break?"
"On the contrary," she says, "I'm just getting warmed up!"
