Crimson

He was a new addition to the clan, having been found by its queen alone and cold in the forest. His fur was soaked and matted, letting the cold seep in and defy his thick coat. Of course he assumed it was pity, being the same breed as her. The leader wasn't as thrilled when he was brought in, not keen on the idea of bringing in an outsider. He wasn’t quite thrilled either, but he was reassured all was going to be ok. Everyone took to him quickly, giving him friendly words and encouragement. It took some time, but his fur was eventually softened and brought back to its usual glory, his ribs were torn from the skin as he ate and filled out to a propper size, and his horns strengthened to a shiny red. It took time, but it was needed. He finally felt like himself and at home, with a new family. Even the leader looked upon him with respect came time. He was happy :)
