Byrne

Byrne is very old and a long time student of the calm and scholarly Matiu. They want to bring back their mentor back from his stone imprisonment and that's why they assist the Helix Guild. They accidentally manage to revive Rubi in the process and she's a bit overbearing with her pride but they let her come along nonetheless. In fact Rubi proves to be a very useful ally as she's motivated by the goal to revive a male obelisk from the stone to help her repopulate her species. So she helps them locate Matiu under the promise that they will provide her shelter and resources to raise her offspring and to maybe find another male obelisk if things don't work out with Matui. Luckily they end up as a wonderful pair and Matui appreciates her motherly and affection nature and Rubi thinks he'll be a good father with his coolheaded nature.
