Biography

Though you may think at a glance Shaami looks just like your usual Guardian, stern and focused, you would be only half right. Under that mask of a renowned individual, lies a curious little dragon that would never back down at the sight of something new... Though she may make an excuse for being there, to not seem desperate.

Maybe that's why she loved being with Deli so much... Though also being a guardian herself, you wouldn't get that from the way she behaved. Deli was definitely more like Gienah, her skydancer mother, than her guardian father.

Sham didn't really like the idea of mating with another especies. But her best friend's behavior gave her the best excuses to let out her curiosity, she didn't even need to force it, most of the time... Don't get her wrong though, she wasn't friends with her for that. No, Deli had a great heart and it was so very comforting to have her around... Maybe even more than with her own mate, Lynfa.

Lynfa... One of the progenitors that build the clan from the ground up. So earnest and corageous. Sham admired him very much and did think, in the beginning, they would fall in love eventually. It didn't take long for the illusion to fade. He loved Lamda, the other progenitor, and so did she. Even if they were not mating with each other at the moment, there was no place for any other in that relationship.

Yet, Sham did not hate them for doing finding other mates just to try and have better children. They both treated her very well, even in Lynfa's eyes she was second only to Lamda. It was fine, she was being loved by the family and, when they could finally face each other again, she would be free to find another mate. In fact, she had it way better than the other two...

Hoata and Iriekain did not take it as well as her. Irie wanted more than being the third wheel... and though she did pity him, his personality was a little too rotten for her to try and be near him any more than necessary.

On Hoata though... Well, he never really tried to be a part of the clan. And there were those icy looks, that never seemed to care, even for his own mate. In fact, Sham would rather pity Lamda between both. That is, if she didn't have Lynfa's affection... or weren't always keeping herself busy. Sham didn't know what would be of the boys if they were ever to be deemed unecessary. But she didn't have to be concerned, she loved the clan and was accepted by them.

But there nothing else she loved most than her newly found role in the family. Ever since she discovered she had what it took to be a monster in the mire, training dragons to be exalted, she couldn't let go of the idea. In fact, it was clear as day, as she didn't even try to hide it this time, begging to be trained to become a trainer herself. She had heard enough of the wonders she could discover fighting and she was sure she would never be bored as so. Also, it would let Deli finally be free to go into rounds with Vannah instead of her, she was sure she would love it! And so, it was settled! The trainer of the Mire.

Finally, Lamda had enough. Surely, it would take quite a while to fully gene herself and Lynfa, but she wasn't really into waiting all that and having Hoata in the meanwhile. So she bought a gene for Lynfa and a temporary one for herself and decided it was enough. Sham couldn't blame her, Hoata overdid on the jerkyness on that litter... He could have dialed it down a notch. They didn't even want to take him to train. Though they would, for the keeper.

Anyway, that meant that was it for Sham and Lynfa. He asked her if it was alright and all, but she knew that day was coming... it was no surprise. So it was time for her to look for a partner, and Deli was delighted to help... But was really hard.

In the beginning, she gave in to Deli and said she would give a chance for any species of dragon... But looking at all of them was taking quite some time and Sham was clearly not interested in non-guardians. So Deli gave in and let her pick only the boys... But even then it was quite a challenge. No body seemed quite enough, really. Until he appeared.

Nilo was quite eye catching, that was for sure. You could see the sky on his wings, the sand on his skin and the river on his belly scales. She couldn't deny his beauty, but she wasn't sure he was hee type at first. Yet, she couldn't shake him off and, when meeting him, she was won over by his confidence (or rather cockiness) and how he courted her.

Was that really the dragon she was looking for? Time would tell...

Time said otherwise. Nilo wasn't bad, and adored her... but he wasn't her type at all. When she noticed even their children were coming out weird.... That was it.

She didn't ask him to go away... but he did anyway, and she had no right to ask him to stay. This was quite a blow to her though... He was so pretty, everyone thought so, but it wasn't enough? Was even someone that could be enough for her than?

She decided she would leave her heart out of her next mate then. The clan needed beautiful hatchlings, and she would give them that much... her love was the mire anyway. Funny how things are. With that mindset, she found none other than her best fit for life.

Set was quite a find. He had such beautiful colors... and just like she once was, he was unhappy with some of his genes. But his personality! He wasn't like Deli was, though she did love her in a sense. He was more like Lynfa, but even better! He was one you could depend on, he had his own passion (similar to hers), and even if he wasn't much of a talker, his actions were loud and clear.

When she found him, perfect as he was, she didn't believe it. She had no luck till then, she would probably find another problem some time in the future. Yet here we are, with the love she had forsaken growing more and more each day. She hit the jackpot, finally.
