Biography

V05L6xI.png
HovGUqf.png A merchant and herbologist. Glade knows most everything there is to know about herbs, flowers, and other plantlife, and uses them to brew potions, which he then sells. His intuitive knowledge about plants and nature comes from his natural connection to the Gladekeeper as a Gladeling. However, Glade is quite far removed from the original Gladelings, and therefor his connection is barely there aside from the herbology.

Glade can make potions that can cure almost anything- for the right price, that is. He's a bit greedy, honestly, it'd be easier to win his favor by paying him than by befriending him, so to say. That's not to say he doesn't value friendship- he's just very easily swayed by the glimmer of treasure coins and the sparkle of gems.

Since the death of Lyon, Glade has been hired by Sparga as the clan's new herbologist- which he agreed to, but only, again, for the right price, and only if he could set up his potion-and-herb stall in the market district.

Glade's little stand is rather popular among the dragons of the Purring Winds, both for the herbs and potions he sells. He always knows the best herbs to go with every dish, reccomending them to those who ask for it, and well- his potions are as effective as he says. The warriors claim that, since Glade sells his potions in the Purring Winds, they have felt more energetic and strong.

Of course, Glade takes pride in the quality of his produce, and is always happy to hear stories of satisfied costumers- using those stories to sell even more. The best advertisement is still, after all, returning costumers taking their friends with them.

"Gladelings" is the name given to the dragons who were made by the Gladekeeper in her own image. They were originally made as Wildclaws, being Nature's native species, with the colors of Jungle/Forest/Green and sporting primarily animal patterns. These Gladelings had the ability to use magic to make plants grow in any conditions, to revive sick or dying plants almost instantly, and to communicate with the Gladekeeper from anywhere within her realm. They formed exclusive clans who roamed the Viridian Labyrinth, carrying with them bags of seeds, with the mission of caring for the plantlife that inhabited the Gladekeeper's territory and spreading this life wherever possible.

However, over time, the Gladelings found their numbers dwindling. In order to preserve their lineage, the decision was made to mingle with dragons of other breeds and colors. But as their bloodline became thinned, their abilities waned. Gladelings today are still prodigious gardeners and caretakers of plants for their clans, but they do not have quite the abilities of Gladelings at their beginnings, and they have lost their abilities to communicate with the Gladekeeper that they once had. They come in every size, shape, and pattern, but their colors are always Jungle/Forest/Green.
