A likeable and talented young dragon, Hymn is known around Home as a good magician and a dragon who is determined to poking his nose into just about everything. Curious, courageous, and with a sense of fairness and justice that's hard to beat down, he is passionate about doing the right thing and protecting the dragons closest to him. He can be a bit reckless, but Hymn's heart is nearly always in the right place, and he cares deeply about doing right by the dragons he cares about.

- Biography
Hymn and his twin sister Omen were born into one of the all-Dark Sclera Clans on the border of Light territory. Though the eye type is dominant, the twins know that one of their parents was a common-eyed dragon, as Omen did not inherit the eye type at all. Though Hymn did inherit it and has Dark Sclera eyes, both twins were cast out of their birth Clan as hatchlings, as some Dark Sclera Clans traditionally exile "half-blood" dragons like them. Brought to Home not long after, Hymn was sorted into Helheim Hall, where he grew his passion to, along with his sister, become a great cursebreaker, the sort of dragon skilled in combating dark magic.

- Life at Home
Likable, modest about his abilities, and reasonably talented, Hymn generally gets along well with his Hallmates, professors, and fellow students at Home. His earliest days were marked with loneliness and insecurity, and he is always an unfailingly kind dragon. He does his best not to be a contributing factor to anyone else's bad day, and will always defend a dragon if he sees they're being picked on or feel left out. Modestly skilled in most academic subjects, Hymn does not possess the academic brilliance of his sister but usually manages to squeeze by his exams alright. The exception is in his defensive magic and defending against dark magic classes, where he excels and is typically the top of the class. He has an excellent sense of intuition and excels at practical magic, and is a wonderful and ever-willing tutor to his fellow students in this subject.

- Relationships
Typically pleasant and easy to get along with, Hymn is friendly with practically everyone. He knows what it's like to feel lonely or unwanted, and goes out of his way to help other dragons feel included. He gets on well with his Hallmates, and most of his professors find him to be an engaging and talented, if occasionally rebellious, student. Hymn shares his sister's outspoken nature but not her sense of respect for rules, and is always willing to ask questions and challenge authority. Hymn is closest with the other cursebreaking students at Home, particularly his best friend Diana, and remains very close with his sister Omen despite their very different personalities.

- Personality
A reliable young dragon and an unfailingly good friend, Hymn is loyal to a fault. He can be stubborn and a bit rebellious, always asking questions and believing that respect is earned before it is given, meaning he gets along very well with his professors who value that sort of thinking and he gets along less well with the stricter ones, though even they value and appreciate his loyalty and commitment to doing what he thinks is right. Very interested in combatting dark magic, Hymn stands out due to his excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly on his feet. He does not do as well in tests of theory, and often blanks on written exams, but once his professors started allowing him to substitute practical exams, his grades improved immensely. Though he's very kind and goes out of his way to avoid causing harm to others, Hymn can be notoriously nosy, and has a talent for getting involved in things best left alone. Nevertheless, his intuition proves right more often than not, and he's more observant than he gives himself credit for. His kind nature can even be a bit of a hindrance for a dragon so devoted to the study of dark magic, as this sort of magic is hampered by the fact that he will typically only use defensive magic, rarely mustering up the genuine spite to be able to inflict harm. Far from the perfect dragon, Hymn is a reliable and loyal friend, and a brave and talented young magician.
