Biography
Likes crafting this-and-that and arranges crafting sessions with hatchlings.
(14.8.2022) Zelse was and is a controlling dragon. She planned his life from start to finish; what he eats, what he does and what he says. He was more of an item than a person to her and she never bothered to name him. He had many pet names like puppy, doll, puppet, honeybun and more. He grew to accept this as the norm as Zelse acquired* him at a young age. He was her little perfect husband-to-come and he thought this was normal. Zelse wasn't malicious and in fact should she not have been so sickeningly controlling, she would've been a great mate. Once he did as she wanted he had her enourmous love all to himself.
Well into adulthood he stepped up for himself for the first time. Zelse thought crafting to be childish and tried her best to steer him away from that interest. Finally, he said he would never abandon crafting and would in fact teach it to the hatchlings. They had an argument, both trying to trip and manipulate the other into compliance. Finally, Zelse yielded, she had no time to argue right now. He had his will and the hatchlings loved him.
Unknowingly he used Zelse's tactics on the hatchlings to get them to do things his way. This caused a lot of friction between the parents, him and Atarangi. Through a lot of learning, talks and eventually counseling, he realized how messed up his life had been and finally started heal and to make friends. He was permitted to hold more craft lessons, but he always had some other teachers accompany him. Until this point, his whole life had been just Zelse and her acquaintances. When Zelse was away he could live his life.
This of course changed him and his relationship with Zelse. He felt like a prisoner. They had more and more arguments, spent less and less time together. Zelse tried her best to cover up for their relationship so as to not lose face. Ultimately it became impossible and the two had a quiet falling out. Zelse cared more about her skyrocketing career than her perfect puppet - that had always been the case.
Now he had time to reinvent himself. His hobby had become a career; he sought and bought many sorts of craft supplies to sell and he had a growing network of suppliers. Zelse's teachings on social suaveness came in very handy. While he doesn't enjoy it, he still sometimes uses manipulation to control some difficult business partners to get some deals. He would never use it to harm their businesses. As a business dragon himself, he knows how to run the numbers.
*Zelse viewed him as a pet or an item. That's why I used the word acquired
