Originally had Saturn and Glimmer
A small Wildclaw hatchling tumbled out of her nest. Finally! It was boring in there. And since her sister was sleeping and her parents were out hunting, there was absolutely nothing to do. Here was an opportunity to explore.
She wobbled onto her hind legs, stumbled at first, nearly collapsing. But before long, she was able to waddle off.
She curiously leaned toward the surface of the liquid. What is this stuff? An awful rotting stench arose from it. But something about the pool was strangely enticing.
She lowered her head further, nearly skimming the surface. She stared transfixed in fascination as a bubble slowly formed just a few feet away -
Another pocket of air suddenly rose and popped inches from the hatchling's snout, splashing toxic liquid directly into her eyes.
The hatchling shrieked, a shrill note of equal parts pain and terror.
A grating voice, like sharp claws dragged across rock, whispered harshly:
"Ah, little one. You have discovered pain. It is your first experience, but it shall certainly not be your last - that is, if you survive."
The creature chuckled and
She could vaguely make out a pair of glowing red orbs and a spiked crest that seemed to be of bone. Rough claws grazed her skin to reach around her head. and the intense burning in the hatchling's eyes settled to a throb.
Could it be? The deity of her homeland? An ancient, powerful force
You shall be called Bloodbath. This mask provides endless strength, and you cannot fall to an enemy in combat.
