Never had a dragon been more blessed than Lucrecia. It was as though the gods had been building the perfect lineage for her since the beginning of dragonkind. She was one of the most powerful dragons to ever walk Sornieth even before she was hatched. Her parents knew that, but they both had different plans for their wonderfully blessed daughter. Her father wanted to raise her to be a force for good. He wanted her to be kind and compassionate. Her mother wanted her to continually seek power and help her to hunt down child eaters. She wanted her daughter to be strong and unstoppable. Lucrecia's future and destiny were decided for her before she was even hatched.

Lucrecia's parents were overjoyed when their daughter hatched. She was everything they could've hoped for and more. As a child, she was raised by both of her parents. Her mother helped her to make sense of all the magical abilities she had at her clawtips. Even as a hatchling, Lucrecia could command wind and air, teleport, and glamour herself. During training, she would often accidentally turn herself into air and get picked up in a particularly strong breeze. Her father taught her to sail ships and sing sea shanties. It often wasn't as productive as training with her mother, but it was certainly more fun. While training with her father, Lucrecia realized she also had siren-like powers. Not only could she entrance dragons with her glamours, but she could use her voice as well.

The older Lucrecia got, the clearer she made it that she intended to continue learning from both her parents. She enjoyed poring over spellbooks with her mother as much as she enjoyed playing drinking games with her father. Living and learning from witches, spellcasters, pirates, and sailors helped Lucrecia to grow and mature into a very flexible, intelligent, and social dragon. She could often be seen rushing between sailing lessons and magic lessons with a pile of books and a gaggle of friends. She was most often seen smiling and enjoying herself. She grew to be kind, loving, passionate, and adventurous. Many expeditions on the sea with her father also made her fearless and a heavyweight drinker.

Eventually, Lucrecia knew she had to leave home. She still had much to learn, but she was also quite adept at everything she did. She decided to begin her grand quest of adulthood by building herself a ship. Not just any ship, but a grand ship, capable of holding a massive crew and sailing Lucrecia all over Sornieth. Progress on her ship was rather slow going. She much preferred the night, some would even call her nocturnal, and worked better in the dark hours. She spent months living off of an hour or less of sleep each night. During the day she continued her studies and at night, she worked on her ship.

The day finally arrived. Lucrecia finished building her boat. It was a thing of beauty. Lucrecia couldn't wait to take it out onto the water. She was finally leaving home. She named her boat The Peyton after one of her distant relatives. It felt right to honor one of the dragons who had been part of giving her such blessed powers. The Peyton was set to depart. Captain Lucrecia bade farewell to her friends and family and left the shores of the Windswept Plateau. She didn't know where she would go, but she knew the wind was with her. The wind and the sky were watching over her and they would keep her safe.

Captain Lucrecia and her crew only sailed for a few weeks before they hit trouble. They were sailing along the southern shore of the Starfall Isles when they noticed smoke coming from a clan in the woods. Lucrecia was never one to let others suffer when she could help, so she dropped anchor and led her sailors to the troubled clan. Pirates were terrorizing the tiny clan. Lucrecia was raised right, so she made quick work of the pirates. The clan praised her and proclaimed her to be a hero. Lucrecia insisted that it was no big deal, but the clan wouldn't hear it. They treated the whole crew to a feast before letting them continue on their journey.

Lucrecia threw the pirates into her brig and commandeered their ship. She began traveling south with the intention of bringing the criminals to one of the notorious prisons in the Southern Icefields. A few days into the journey, the captain of the pirates requested the audience of Lucrecia. Being a generous dragoness, she agreed and went down to the brig. The pirate began to talk about Lucrecia's lineage. She dismissed his talk. There was nothing about her lineage that she didn't already know. That is, until the pirate referred to Lucrecia as a 'glitch.'

Lucrecia had never heard that term before; she wasn't sure what it meant. A scholar at heart, she pressed the pirate captain for information, demanding that he explain himself. He happily complied. He explained that Lucrecia was descended from a dragon named Naomi. A dragon who had reportedly briefly led all the exalted dragons. This Naomi dragon had become a legend of great proportions. Some claimed that she could phase in and out of existence, others claimed she could open portals anywhere in Sornieth. Lucrecia dismissed the captain's claims. There was no way she was a descendant of this dragon. She had never done anything so out of the ordinary. Or at least, she didn't think she had.

Lucrecia endured many sleepless nights thinking about the pirate captain's words. Surely, if she was a descendent of this dragon, her parents would have told her. They were always so open about the rest of her lineage. She knew she was a witch, a siren, a mage, and so many more, but a glitch? Surely there was a mistake.

The night before The Peyton was to dock and transfer her prisoners, Lucrecia met with the captain again. She asked if there was any way to prove or disprove descent from Naomi. The captain said there was nothing concrete, but rumor had it that some Arcane clans had ways to test it. Lucrecia left swiftly with plans of returning to the Starfall Isles to get answers. The prisoners and their boat were transferred to the Gaoler Keepers the following day. Captain Lucrecia sat sail back the way they had come. Mother Nature was against them. The wind blew in the opposite direction, but Lucrecia was stronger than nature. She easily overcame nature and forced The Peyton to go where she wanted it.

The Arcane clans did have ways of proving bloodlines and they told Lucrecia exactly what she didn't want to hear. She really was one of these 'glitch' dragons. The clan she went to explained that she had mistaken one of her powerful abilities for a Wind ability when in reality, it was a mixture of Wind and Naomi. Lucrecia could phase through reality. She had thought it was aeroportation, but the clan explained to her that normal aeromancers couldn't teleport with as much speed as she could.

Lucrecia wasn't sure what to do with this new information. She continued sailing, but became less sure of herself. Was she even supposed to be alive? Was she a colossal, universal mistake? A descendent of Naomi never should have as much power as she did. It would be catastrophic. It could be catastrophic.

Could be.

But it wouldn't be.

Lucrecia was resolute. She would hold strong to her father's teachings and use all her power to help others. If the universe had made a mistake in letting her live, if she was to be a dragon who would tip the scales of good and evil, then she would tip them in the favor of good.

In the end, Lucrecia became a mix of what both her parents wanted for her. As per her father's request, she helped others wherever she went. She was altruistic, kind, and compassionate. She could beat anyone in drinking games and could sail better than any pirate. As per her mother's request, she was a powerful witch and hunted down forces of evil, whether that came in the form of child-eaters, the Shade, or other dragons. She was driven, stubborn, and unyielding. Lucrecia became an immense force for good. She and her crew would never let Sornieth fall into the talons of evil.

Lucrecia became notorious for her words before entering battle. All of her sailors felt inspired by her words.

"The battle isn't over until I draw my last dying breath."

opalpink_orb_by_kayosa_stock-d9z67sc.png June, the Moon of Roses | Penumbral Lunar Eclipse - June 5
This particular moon grants those born underneath its light the powers of illusion, mostly known as "Glamouring": the act of appearing more beautiful to the beholder. This ability is accompanied by another, although most doubt that it's an ability, but rather something taught: the mastery of words, also earning them the titles of "Silvertongues". It is true that apart from beauty, these dragons can charm their way into and out of almost everything, the beauty of their physique and the allure of their voices making them the front line of most formidable spies and collectors of information.
