"Sprint, hide, don't get caught!"

Mori was always the hide and seek champion, not only adept at hiding in plain sight, but also seeking everyone out so swiftly it wasn't always even fun to play with him. Being able to just stand in front of any vegetation or bush and not being seen was a fun talent, suited for his playful personality. If he wanted to be found, he would just giggle and laugh until someone spotted him in yet another odd place right next to where they started their game.

After growing up a bit and being taken with the clan to hunt in small packs, Mori could also show his exceptional swiftness. Hunting wasn't his favourite sport, nor was it something he would really want to do, but most of the time it was a must to help the clan.

Then came a time when food supplies were running low by so much that the quickest dragons were sent in many directions to look for new hunting grounds. Their original home had dried, game had moved or had been hunted to near extinction from the area and the spirits seemed to wail and warn their elders of the danger of famine and hunger. Mori had to leave his friends and mate behind in order to scout out new and lush areas to the west.

He left one morning, following the trail of sounds made by aspens in the wind. He wanted to stay strong and to follow through his mission in time to save his kin from drought and famine. Running day and night, believing that the wind would tell him of a more promising home not too far from his place of birth, he sought to find wind's promise.

One night he thought he had found something promising. A bushy, beautiful plateau next to and above the rapids, with the clearest water he had ever seen. But something wasn't right. It was way too silent, he could only hear the wind, not even the waters below, not the calls of birds, not the faintest sound of life nearby. And then ... Thump, thump, THUMP, he saw it. His first primal instinct was to use his skills to hide, to watch what would happen next.

The sounds of life did not dare to come close to this enormous creature seemingly made of pure energy and typhoon-like wind, yet walking like a mammal, its steps echoing through the land. Mori knew he would not be able to fly away with such winds flowing through his body, but he tried. He was swept away and he traveled for what felt like days. Now he doesn't know where he is and what future holds for him, but he is alive, and he did not get caught.
