Biography

Olneya

- Average-sized female Snapper
- Sturdy build
- Worn beak is lined with the serrated edges of many, many tomia.
- The left one of her largest pair of horns is chipped.

- Easily irritable
- Almost always has a stern expression. She rarely smiles.
- Often answers or acknowledge others by grunting.

- A former member and protector of Gilda's clan.
- Saddled as a mount (no reins, of course— she's the one directing) for an allied longneck named Rhubi while guarding the clan. The bow and quiver attached to her is actually the rider's weapon, allowing the longneck to act as a turret to shoot near any suspicious strangers following them.
- Certain circumstances have led to her leaving the clan with Rhubi to live alongside the latter's family. During her stay, Olneya would help haul carts, herd their trunkers, and stood guard over them at night.

- Speaks with a deep and hoarse voice.
- A relative of Plum. Last time she'd seen her, the Tundra was only a small fuzzball.
- Not very fond of hatchlings, though she tolerates drakes (teenage dragons).
- Likes to hoard various blue gemstones; her favorite ones are zircon, tanzanite, and turquoise.
- Loves drinking fermented fruit beverages, especially grapes.
- A great fighter, but she'd rather avoid trouble. She really doesn't like fighting.
- Rhubi's trunkers sees Olneya as one of their own, constantly trying to herd around her, much to the dragon's annoyance.

Rhubi

- A young adult longneck whose fur is more red than natural.
- Lean figure with strong arms due to heavy work.
- Diluted white speckles in various areas of her fur.
- About a head taller than the average female longneck
- Dark brown eyes. One must stand close to see her horizontal pupils.

- She and her family are drovers, herding domesticated Moordwelling Trunkers with the help of their allied Snapper clan to the nearest market or auction house.

- Trilingual, can speak common draconic and beast language.
- She would randomly point at things and tell Olneya of what they mean in certain longneck language. She doesn't really expect her to listen and learn. Rhubi actually wanted to speak with her more as they work, but Olneya does listen, and will say a few taught words to the longneck's parents whenever able to.
- Enjoys petting Olneya’s snout. The Snapper huffs at this act, yet tolerates it.

- Rhubi and her family own a pet Grasslands Trunker cow they bought from the local beast-ran auction house. Cinnamon, their named trunker, was culled from her previous herd due to her low fertility. Rhubi's father was the one to bring the then-heifer home and placed her in the care of Rhubi's younger brother. He hopes his son will lose his fear of their cattle by caring for a much more docile trunker.
- Cinnamon lived among the moordwelling herd, and soon calved after two years. Grasslands trunkers are notoriously bad mothers, their docility they're bred for made them too passive to properly care for their young. Because of this, Cinnamon paid no attention to her calf in favor of food, headbutting it in annoyance after Rhubi's brother kept attempting for her and the calf to bond. He now takes care of her calves by bottle feeding them with their mother's collected milk.
- Cinnamon's milk can provide the longneck family as a drink, an ingredient for cooking, and soap making. Although Cinnamon only calved a few times in her life, she (any mammal, really) will lactate as long as she's milked.
