Thanks! I'm also currently reading, among other things, Nice Dragons Finish Last, the Hainish Cycle (reread), I Am a Cat, When Women Were Dragons, and a couple other books I'm too sleepy to list ^^

That's fair! It's still very high quality and well-written, so you can definitely enjoy it without knowing any of the context. I suppose that's a good thing since that's how to expand interests and whatnot. If you do so, I hope you enjoy!
It is indeed. I cannot rsememrb the name right now, but I think I once read a fictional book that took from the point of view of a falconer's falcon? If I can remember the name, I'll try to send the title to you!

Hey! Nice to see someone else reading the Discworld novels for the first time! I'm currently treading Guards! Guards! myself :>

I've read both of those books before! I originally was disliking of The Song of Achilles (mainly due to... very different interpretations of certain mythical figures), but my friend convinced me to give it a second shot after I was given it for my birthday and I'm a lot more open to it after rereading. I also read H is for Hawk because, well, falconry and hawks are quite fascinating!
