I am active, I just don’t bother to feed my dragons.
In the Lore of my clan, dragons possess the magic to become human. (Think Manaketes from Fire Emblem, but no need for a stone.) Their dragon forms are the default and still how they work biologically, but they turn human to make huge size differences smaller and to use finer hands for work.
