The Hepatizon Clan was founded by Matriarch Verdigris and her mate, Oxblood. Verdigris is a proud, large-hearted leader; she values dragons of great skill, passion, and strong character-- and even though this leads to some conflicting personalities within the lair, her dedication to her Flight and fierce conviction in all its members are enough to bond even the most tempestuous characters together.
Her clan is known for producing peerless craftsmen, academics, and artists of every persuasion. Verdigris herself sponsors many up-and-coming dragons who show am intriguing spark of potential or extraordinary drive. However, even those dragons who show no particular aptitude for craft or lore are valued no less for their contributions. A dragon who makes others laugh and feel welcome, or who knows just how to comfort a troubled hatchling, or whose aesthetic whimsy brings joy to those around them, or who simply puts in the work when work is needed-- these are shown equal esteem to any artisan, for without their manner of expertise, any clan would fall apart.
