YawningDodo's Clan

The Slumbering Wood Clan was named by its founder, Increase, after a nickname for the area in which they first settled. The clan first served the Lightweaver, and in many ways still do, traveling from one part of the realm to another in order to learn from each flight and its deity before moving on once more. Their journey began at the Pillar of the World, where the clan mastered the element of Earth. One year later, it was time to move on, this time to the Cloudsong, as foretold by the arrival of the Wind infant, Augur. During their stay, the birth of a Water-aligned Nocturne decided their next destination. The fortuitous find of a Fire egg led them next to the Emberglow Hearth, and then a double-find of two Ice eggs dictated a move to the Southern Icefield.

And then, in the depths of winter, came an omen the clan had feared. While searching for artifacts to glean a greater understanding of Sornieth's history, a clan member stumbled across a Plague dragon egg. With some trepidation, the Slumbering Wood was once again on the move, this time to a savage land that will put their strength and adaptability to the test.

The Slumbering Wood lair serves as a home and training grounds for many young dragons who choose the path of exaltation to the services of the deities. Some choose to train with the dragons of the Slumbering Wood to join the service of their current deity, while others depart to train in other elements. A small number change their minds and find homes with other clans in Sornieth instead. All who depart, no matter what their path, are celebrated here for their courage to choose their own way.
