Years ago a young coatl's dream to travel and roam across the lands took hold as a young Midas ran away from his old den to start his life anew. Years ago a young veilspun named Bernedetta fled from her old den and family to try and rise in the ranks of a new den. Both dragons were tired of politics, gods, and flight rivalries, all they wanted was to find and share the fun and joy of the world. Years ago Midas met Bernedetta (who preferred to be called Berry) and together the two founded the Flight of the Sun Chasers.

The flight was founded on the goal of being nomadic, devoid of loyalty for any god or land. Of being open, allowing any stray dragon that crosses its path inside. Of being freedom for dragons, allowing them the ability to come and go as they please. The flight travels from element to element, chasing festivals, fun, and merriment. Of course, the two didn't expect it to take off right away, or ever for that matter, most dens were perfectly happy finding and forming a home where they sat (and good for them honestly, being a nomad is exhausting) but they spread the good word nonetheless, encouraging others to forsake borders for the joy of travel and chasing the sun.

Eventually, the two began to collect dragons. Parentless hatchlings, fellow nomads, those without homes, or those who simply wished to follow them on their quest to follow the festivals wherever they sprung up. They formed a clan they called Clan Whiteward in order to separate their small group from the movement they hoped to start and began introducing themselves as "Clan Whiteward of the Sun Chaser Flight" in every new temporary home they made.

Eventually, after traveling the world several times over, Midas made the call for his clan to settle down in a single spot. The call wasn't very popular with the clan he had formed but the truth was that he was simply tired of constantly moving and fighting for territory in new places. Berry agreed with his choice to settle, adding that those who didn't want to stay could continue on their travels and start their own clans in Flight Sunchaser and those who did could rest with Clan Whiteward.

And with that, the years of nomadic life ended within Den Whiteward. Instead, the clan began focusing on finding and taking in wandering and clanless dragons and acting as a waypoint for those who needed it, allowing travelers to stop in for food, rest, and healing. The members of Clan Whiteward still travel frequently and encourage those who come across them to live freely, explore often, and to value the lives of other dragons and clans over flight loyalty.
