Not everything dies to sickness. Sometimes it’s just age; to the loam, from the ashes, millions and billions of all sorts of life forgetting their existences as they break down, decaying, finding their way back to the earth. Nobody can stop it. Flesh peels and vanishes, greenery curls into dead brown and frays at the edges. The dark of night lies in the warm soil where roots sleep, and if you are too still, they will devour you whole. Your death is precious sustenance for the that which still grows, spurns outwards and upwards with life. And when even the bones and stems are eaten away, they will feed the next, and those in turn will die, and each time the graves are buried deeper and deeper, nectar and flowers, a tireless reaper for an endless series of chances.

Hiya papaya! Thank you for the kind words about my baby boy pride and joy Kerrich. I love your lair - Lese is absolutely serving, and Sparrow and Spine look like they spend more money in a day than I have earned in my working life. Then you look at the rest of the lair and its like oh they aren't just good at the gilded aesthetic; they rule at Every Aesthetic Possible while still feeling cohesive. It whips quite honestly!!!
