Yato

Once regarded as a brutal war god and bringer of destruction, Yato is trying to make amends. He offers to grant wishes for 5 yen, coming to the aid of any who will pray to him. While his former allies may disapprove, Yato sees the value of his human subjects and wishes for himself to change.

Although he suffers from the guilt of his deeds, Yato tries his best to be lighthearted and take everything in stride. He enjoys making his friends laugh, and has made amends with some of those who fought so hard against him in the past. Bishamon and Kazuma are now some of his closest allies. Now, Yato searches for a way to sever his ties to his creator along with his weapon, Sekki, so that he may finally put an end to the evils that he was forced to commit.

His Blessed Vessel and loyal follower is Yukine, who transforms into the weapon Sekki when called. Only Yato truly knows of Yukine's past, and he has risked his life in order to ensure that Yukine never discovers the truth; fearing that it may cause Yukine to transform into a monster beyond help.
